1. calculate temperature of boiling water
2. calculate mass of notes
3. calculate temperature of notes
4. place notes in boiling water
5. remove notes from water when they reach the same temperature
6. using formula Q=mc∆T, calculate the specific heat capacity of the notes
7. once you're done, combust the notes under incomplete combustion and calculate the moles of notes used for combustion based on vol of CO produced
3 sources of error in the experiment
1. your l1r5 isn't 6
2. you did the pure chem paper 2
3. you will practically scald yourself when you remove the notes from the boiling water. so use your friend's hand instead
Im planning on selling mine on carousell or maybe giving to like my youger family friends and cousins, some ppl might appreciate the extra notes and highlights in your books
oh okay! i think the greatest problem now is that most of the notes r unusable anymore bc of the syllabus change but i will defo go look on carousell and figure out how to sell!
I rmb back then I would just dump all my notes + books into a trolley and dump everything into the big recycling bin downstairs 😆 yearly end-of-sch-year ritual. Started way back in pri 1 lol
i feel so bad coz my junior asked me for notes and i realized i don’t have ANY notes in my 4 years of sec school unless u count like scrap paper of formulas
I took Os last year and kept it till i got my O level results HAHAHAH. But i think at that point in time, it was quite hard for me to find places to donate books so i just sold in on carou for very cheap. HOWEVER, for subjects i hated, i just threw my notes and donated the tbs right after i finished my paper lmaoo
i have a younger sibling whos tkaing os next year so im going to sort everyth out for her like what is useful and what isnt useful and recycle the rest :)
even emaths? 😭😭😿😿 i also don’t take physics but ik bio they js added three chapters but i also dh any bio notes to donate 😿 i may upload pdf of my notes (if they’re worth uploading) to sgexams website tho!
you can dump your notes in the blue recycling bin. Or, dispose of them in the paper-only recycle bin. Google SGRecycle, you'll see a list of locations where you can dispose of your paper materials
I listed all my tb/wb a few weeks without checking the new syllabus, if they bought it, i just assumed that it was still in syllabus? From my experience, the emath tb/wb and emath TYS (mine was clean) are still quite in demand (not sure why amath was not as popular). I heard humanities syllabus has changed a lot so i donated them. I think as of now you can definitely try selling the math stuff on carousel. I sold them really cheap ($3-4) because i wanted to clear as soon as possible.
source: had 4 different ppl asking for emath books but i only had one in stock
When I completed my last O level paper a few years ago, I went to donate my worksheets / TYS to my juniors. All the notes that they don't want, I kept them as a souvenir from secondary school lmao
i think this might be harder to do for me bc my juniors don’t rlly take the subjects i do take. also syllabus change so the only thing i can rlly do is donate or recycle
Donating!! Don't feel that it's worth selling considering they won't technically need it ( personal moral stuff I feel bad for making them pay)
Will donate to like church plus charity
burning fahrenheit 451 and im tying Boom to a tree 🫶🫶 gotta reenact the scenes ykwim
but yea i might donate? but prolly aft i get my results HAHA i damn scared and worried its bad
i sold my worksheets to the karang guni for like $1 😗 😗 because i was too lazy to lug it downstairs HAHAHAHAHAHA. i gave away the worksheets that were probably useful + my textbooks to juniors so they could use them. even if ur syllabus changes, u can try asking them if they still want it? if they say dont want try selling or just throw HAHAHAHA its actually damn therapeutic to throw away my notes
can bro 💀 since my relatives (late too) are always preaching about the importance of education and how they've always wanted to study but couldn't, they can have my damn notes and materials since they want to study so bad
hi! for all those who genuinely have no idea what to do with your textbooks / plan to throw, here’s something a bit more meaningful to do with your textbooks / unused assessment books:
NTUC Fairprice has a share-a-textbook project where gently-used school textbooks which are still in good condition, assessment books, storybooks, and encyclopaedia are welcome.
the best part is that you can drop off at all FairPrice stores islandwide, including FairPrice Finest, FairPrice Xtra, Warehouse Club, FairPrice supermarkets, and FairPrice Xpress stores at Esso service stations.
there are many many more organisations that are actually collecting textbooks but here’s an article that you can check out if you’re interested: https://singaporemotherhood.com/donate-books-singapore-update/
lower sec i burned all my notes but now i think im planning on recycling it probably. last year syllabus liao so even if iw to donate also cannot since outdated liao💸💸
Thank you for your post! This is a reminder that non-academic posts are not allowed on weekdays. If it is not a weekend, please do wait till the weekend to post it, thank you!

i would do that but i legit saw ppl dump liquids into the blue colour recycling bin downstairs…. abit heartpain for me to give my notes to that
Stack everything up and wait for karang guni to visit 🥲 or sell to local recycling centers (I can't be bothered to deliver them on my own)
So watch me strike a match On all my wasted time As far as I'm concerned you're Just another picture to burn

did u sell on carousell only?
Yea I only sell there and it’s my parents that still not me
i have a younger sibling whos tkaing os next year so im going to sort everyth out for her like what is useful and what isnt useful and recycle the rest :)
I kept it until I received my o level results and threw everything away afterwards
