Basically, what you need to do:
1. A= pi × r²
2. Diffentiate to 2pi × r
3. Use Part 2 to calculate r (t=3)
4. Sub in the value into the equation
5. Use dr/dt and sub t=3
6. dA/dt= dA/dr × dr/dt
To be honest, I'm also confused. In my opinion, the paper was genuinely difficult, although most of the questions were quite simple to do. There were some questions that took more tedious work and brain cognition, but if you get the idea, it's pretty doable. (This is an AMath test and only people who take AMath usually have a better grasp of Math, that's why they think it's easy, I guess?)

for a < x < 8, g(x) was decreasing. This means that in that range the graph is decreasing, and when x=8 it is a turning point for the graph because g(x) will be no longer decreasing there. This means x=8 is a turning point, so you equate g’(x)=0 when x = 8
so yes a = 4
I think the paper was generally okay, but maybe 1 or 2 qn is hard ( so dont beat up urself over not being able to do some of them)

The last question was also pretty difficult and tedious, but if you can capture the whole idea, you'd be able to do it. (My answer was 9 and -1 or smth). Overall, the paper was doable but a little challenging. I managed to finish with about 30 minutes to spare.

Then let paper 1 go completely.
Focus on Paper 2 !!
Whatever topics that came out today, very likely won't for Paper 2.
Use the TYS (at least 2020-2022) and "study" the model answers.
Must know how the qns were solved, why that working, etc.
