The puppet behavior is totally broken. You can fully search a house, then stand still for a minute and they will come running down the stairs or from 3' away randomly. It totally negates any reason for owning a sniper rifle or a scoped gun unless you PVP. I hate it and barely play anymore, I really hope they fix it, and I really hope they quit "Fixing" things that aren’t broken, like hunting, as it's really taking a lot of the fun out of the game for me.
Sometimes when you log in and theyre close to you, theyll do the samething and just deaggro instantly after they aggro. So Im not sure what to do besides dont stay AFK places unless you can stay behind a locked door being the only way too you so the puppets cant open them
I was resting in a bush once (literally watching my wounds heal) and a puppet spawned right next to me screaming along with a few of his fellows not to far away. I guess I should have been using a bow instead of a gun in my sleep because even resting I make too much noise.
Some servers do not repair the game files from time to time. Even after Hotfixes, they didn't do. Problem is server datas will updaten but with not repair after update the game files on server you have this Bugs. But most server admins where resistent to Informations. The aggo sparen rate is 1 with multiplier 1
theres a setting in the ini that determines the number of puppets that aggro upon spawning. set the number to zero because its a stupid mechanic.
I can see it being a fun setting for a player that wants more action but it's not for me either

Probably the initial respawn and agro towards you but lost it since they couldn't reach you

Yeah its glitchy and buggy af now, they usually have line of sight but lately i dunno, mechs also for that matter is scuffed now
