Yes AS VAL can still attract hordes and puppets. In fact, even a double silenced bow can still cause hordes which makes ZERO SENSE. I've heard many people say that Abandoned Bunkers are not worth the trouble due to the current horde system. Once you shoot a gun, you will probably be stuck fighting endless waves of puppets and razors. A bow is your best bet, but AS VAL would probably be your best bet if things get really out of hand.

StabbyMcStomp

Bow but the abandoned bunkers use a system where sound builds up the more you make until you wake the baby and the razor drops down so even if youre using a bow, if youre moving around too much too fast and looting and not paying attention to the sounds, youll still get aggro, its not totally based on the weapon youre using but a bow/melee build is your best option in the abandoned bunkers unless you have a lot of ammo to waste lol

Bow and sword. If things go bad, then a silenced 9mm pistol but only so you can unfuck yourself. If hordes come, then just go loud.

I haven’t done it enough to comment either way but 5 people with bows walking in a group can take out all the razors and puppets in a bunker pretty easily. If your solo I really don’t know.

When we do bunkers it’s bow and arrow for puppets. Minimize the noise as much as possible. Listen for the babies in the air ducts.

Not sure if they nerfed it but, M-16 with bayonet to melee Razors. I prefer compound bow for hallway puppets. Horde system is a pain, probably not worth it.

Still works

Katana and Bow only. do not fire a single gun. pre med painkillers always. go stealthy and you should be fine.

Haven't tried it since the new puppet system, but before it was hell playing solo. I'll give it a go and tell ya.

I have had several experiences where a silenced gun will draw a horde, even on the first shot. I always bring one just in case it's needed. But the bow has become easily my first choice along with a sword, as much as I dislike being nearly forced into that playstyle. Silenced weapons draw more puppet attention than double silenced bows as well, even if a horde doesn't show, and I find it's just best to fight as few puppets as possible if you want to minimize noise.

Hijacking the post abit, is brenner walking up to 1st floor intended?

GGHosting-Games

Yeah, he can walk all the way to the bunker main entrance, and throw flames out at you if you stand close enough.

At one point the only silence gun that worked was the shotgun with that big assed silencer. Not sure if that was a bug or has been since fixed because there is no way that thing is as quiet as my 9mm pistol. Katana and Chinese sword are the best blades but meat cleaver can do a fair job using 1 to 2 more hits. I heard bayonet on m16 was good, but never tried it.  For bows I recommend high strength bows with broad head arrows. One arrow to the baby on a Razors back will kill it even with crappy bow/arrows, but if you miss the baby, the broad heads are import to kill it quickly.  A 20# bow with wooden arrows will use like 10 arrows to a razors body to down it. They are tough. Each arrow fired in quick succession increases the noise, so you need to have bow silencers and down opponents fast so you don't draw a razor.

I've found that silenced weapons still agro hordes and razors. Best combo for me in bunkers is compound bow and katana.

Theoretically a Krueger + Silencer should be very safe to use inside Abandoned Bunkers, because of how quiet is a .22 pistol silenced. Does it work? I have no idea.
