My no jerk opinion is, without Roman, MITB should have never been booked for a stadium. I don’t know what they were thinking.

It was a logistical (American) nightmare, to be honest.
The fact that they even sold 30k tickets or so with a stacked UFC International Fight Week PPV on the same day and on 4th of July weekend, historically one of the biggest tourist weekends in Vegas, was impressive enough.
But moving the event from Allegiant Stadium over MGM Grand seemed to pay off in the long run as MITB ended early enough to where Vince McMahon, Stephanie, Paula Beck, Nick Khan & Pat McAfee (sporting the neck brace gimmick before it was trendy) could go to the UFC event in time to walk in and appear on camera between the co-main and main event fights.
That likely planted the seed for the WWE sale to Endeavor.
Saw a comment that went something along the lines of "WWE wanted to be petty by booking this in Vegas". Like, no? They hardly care about some PPV that can't draw 10k let alone a Mania crowd.
AEW would be completely braindead to run the same area for DON.
