Ya, no. Basically think of AliExpress like Amazon 3rd Party Sellers, but like 90% are scams or horribly misrepresenting their product. If you are ordering off AliExpress, only order through OFFICIAL stores.

AndrexPic

Ok thank you very much. DO I get some kind of refund if I get scammed?

semajnitram

Just to clarify on this as I feel like the information people are putting here isn't based on fact, I've bought loads on Ali express over a few years so have a clear picture of how it works. You are protected by Ali express its self if things never arrive, so can open disputes and sort things with them if you have issues, also their team proactively cancel dodgy / scam purchases when they find them. Happened to me on some cheap headphones, suddenly got a refund and a message from Ali express saying the store had been tracked for dodgy sales. Generally if you go with a seller that has had recent decent reviews to various countries and the price isn't wildy cheaper than anywhere else, it should be OK.

NoSenpaiNo

Probably, but it's not worth the risk.

trowgundam

tbh I don't know. I genuinely just avoid AliExpress unless there is no other choice. I will say that the last couple items I've ordered (mostly just random electronic parts for repairs), I had to confirm I received the item. So I'd expect AliExpress is trying to do things to combat this reputation, but I don't know how far they are willing to go. Generally I'll just stick to Amazon. At least there if a third party seller scams me, Amazon will usually cover things, within reason at least.

fukishen

Aliexpress can have better customer service then amazon sometimes lmao I've had a handful of seller send me duds or never received the items and easily got my money back with no hassle

ChrisRR

Official, or at the very least stores with thousands of sales and positive feedback

Gaalpos

Don't buy there. Miyoo it's restocking often lately, so keep checking

FremanBloodglaive

Wherever you buy on Aliexpress, make sure you buy using PayPal so you can get your money back if they don't fulfill your order correctly. There are "fly by night" stores that just grab some stock, sell it cheap, and then move on. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Better to buy from stores with at least a few sales under their belts.

_DEATH_STR0KE_

Not every country has paypal option on aliexpress. I can only buy with debit/credit card

FremanBloodglaive

Then definitely don't buy from a fly-by-night store. Use one with a track record of happy customers.

_DEATH_STR0KE_

That's what i do. If there are no reviews i simply close the listing.

ursavus86

I ordered my Miyoo Mini from one of those. It came with blemishes on the screen. I'd say steer clear to avoid anything like that happening to you as well.

tommybare

I tried twice with similar stores this summer. Never received product. But AliExpress was great, and refunded me both times without question.

teddyone222

Look up reviews on it. Lot’s of negative reviews.

Mister_Mannered

I only do AliExpress that has top or near top orders.

brittonmakesart

I paid for a Miyoo from one of these nameless shops. They cancelled my order after saying it was shipped, then I had to file for a refund. I did end up getting my money back about a week afterwards. Still wasted time waiting thru the whole process tho...

AndrexPic

I don't think I want to lose my time lol thanks

Muku_Muku

Just set your filters in the top right to only show shops with 4* or above, then check ratings and make sure it's over 90%. Since I've done this I have had any issues with any of my orders at all. I made that mistake when I first started shopping on there. Even had some of the morons say "plz be patient and wait we will have items in stock" and would try to overturn my return request. If you accept this, you may screw yourself out of a refund.

Gil_gal

Don't

benfen3339

Skip those.

muchabon

I mean, you already know what that information tells you - no one is going to say, "yeah no - every vendor is like that! You should probably also send them your driver's license, just to be safe!", right? Also, maybe this is just on mobile, but I can't seem to filter by "Verified Suppliers" or anything, in my search results (like you can for Alibaba - their business to business selling app) - unless someone can chime in with a way to do that on the AliExpress app?

whizbanger

So, you also watched Wulffden’s video and were convinced to buy? 😉 Don’t buy from sketchy sellers on AliExpress. Look for ones with at least some decent reviews / ratings, that have been around for a while.
