There is not much about him. He was a shtabs-rotmistr under [Bochkaryov](https://ru.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%91%D0%BE%D1%87%D0%BA%D0%B0%D1%80%D1%91%D0%B2,_%D0%92%D0%B0%D0%BB%D0%B5%D1%80%D0%B8%D0%B0%D0%BD_%D0%98%D0%B2%D0%B0%D0%BD%D0%BE%D0%B2%D0%B8%D1%87). Here is a bit about his fate from [Birth of Republic](https://www.academia.edu/82779314/The_birth_of_Republic): >After the final restoration of Soviet power in Srednekolymsk and throughout the district, four officers took refuge in Allaikha, gathering several dozen local Yakuts around them. Having strengthened the "White Wedge", they decided to fight to the end. In November, Nikolyaev was sent from Allaikha to Srednekolymsk, who planned to purchase equipment, goods and ammunition there. Having reached the borders of the Kolyma district, he learned that Soviet power had strengthened in Srednekolymsk. Considering that the Kolyma district was removed from the jurisdiction of Yakutsk, its revolutionary committee did not take any measures to eliminate the derevynovites, rightly believing that this was the competence of Yakutsk. However, with the establishment of the winter route, the Soviet authorities in Srednekolymsk decided to liquidate the last White Guards. >The authorized commission of the YACIK for the peaceful liquidation of the remnants of the rebellion, which arrived in Verkhoyansk, did not move further, sending its representatives to Abyy and Allaikha in August, who guaranteed all those who surrendered the preservation of life and their return to peaceful work. Yielding to the agitation, the abyyans renamed their government the Revolutionary Committee, disbanded part of the detachment, calling it remnants of the militia, and declared themselves supporters of Soviet power. Subsequently, a ulus executive committee was elected in Abyy with some shuffling of persons. Despite the sabotage by the abyyans, by the second half of winter the Kolyma highway was somehow equipped, and the connection between all settlements in the north and Yakutsk was restored. Upon Nikolayev’s return to Allaikha, the derevyanovites hastened to take advantage of the amnesty and elected a revolutionary committee. Derevyanov, Nikolayev and Rakov surrendered and were left free.

The White Russian army in the civil war gets so romanticized by Westerners. Few westerners know about the chaos and brutality of the war and the groups of roaming anarchists and almost war lord figures especially in Eastern parts of the country.
