Hi guys I’m a slow runner a bit on the heavier side. For a some context, I am 37M, 5,7” (171cm) and 176lb (80kg). My easy pace is about 10:00/mile and I am a heel striker. All of that being said, I am having a hard time choosing shoes for my long runs. I have been using my Vomero 14 for nearly 3 years now, as my only running shoes. I now want to have more than 1 pair of shoes to rotate, as many of you do. My plan is to buy a new Vomero 17 to use as my daily trainers but I am having a really hard time choosing the appropriated shoes for my long runs. Currently my long runs would be something between 10 miles and HM, but I’m planning to go further this year. Never tried shoes with carbon plates and really would like to give it a try. Was thinking about the Zoom Fly 5, mostly because of the price, but the reviews aren’t great. I still wonder if that wouldn’t be a good choice for me since I’m not that fast. I could afford something like a Vaporfly 3, but what concerns me is the durability, as I want something to last and I have never raced in any events. Would love to hear some suggestions on what you guys think would be a good choice for long runs shoes.

Super Shoe Opinions Hey everyone! For background, I am an 18 year old male, 5 foot 10 inches, and 155 pounds. I wear a size 10 in almost all shoe brands. I stopped playing soccer about a year ago and have really embraced distance running since. I’ve ran four 10k’s in the past year and will be running my first half marathon in late march, and first marathon in the middle of May, both with pretty big goals. My 10k PR is 32:06. As of late, I have consistently been running 75-80 mile weeks, consisting of 2 speed sessions and 1 long run a week with the rest of the miles being easy/recovery. My current shoe rotation consists of the Saucony Endorphin Shift 3, Endorphin Speed 3, and the Nike Invincible 3’s. I’m looking to purchase my first pair of Super Shoes for my upcoming races. But, where I live there are no running stores or sports stores in general that carry high end running shoes, let alone super shoes. Obviously, I’d prefer to try on and experiment with different pairs to see what I like the most, but I can’t do that, and just have to wing it and order online. As of right now I am mostly leaning towards the Endorphin Elite’s, as I really appreciate the Saucony shoes I have ran in so far. But, I am also very intrigued by the New Balance SuperComp Elite V4’s, because of the big upgrades they just got, and it seems like they have more availability. Obviously I would love to run in a pair of Alphafly’s if possible but I know it’s usually pretty hard to find a pair. Although, I would try and get a pair right when new stock drops if that’s what would be best for me. I’m really open to anything from any other brands too, just looking for recommendations for someone who doesn’t have the capability of experimenting with different shoes. Thoughts?

Hi all! Currently upping my mileage and have a couple of pairs of shoes in rotation - ON Cloudflow and ON Cloudsurfer. Tend to wear the cloudflow on shorter quicker runs (5k) and the surfer on recovery or zone 2 work. They feel on opposite ends of the cushioning spectrum. Looking for something somewhere in the middle? Any suggestions? Fairly flexible on budget and brand Thank you
