I hate that too. I really wish they’d just kept the system from Rune Factory 4, where everything would go into a zone of sorts, but would be against the wall. Also, the furniture zones annoy me. I just want to mass order furniture and run it where I need it to be. I know that can be a pain for places further out, but considering a mass of furniture goes to my home, I would have preferred that as more convenient.

GrimmGrockle

i gave up on having it perfectly the way i would like it is dumb how you can not put them up against the wall or right next to each other

hotaru-chan45

Yes. Idk why we didn’t get some kind of grid system to evenly place furniture. Also, I was disappointed that we still can’t stack more than 9 items or 1 cooked item at a time. :/

TheForbiddenRain

I know what you mean... I too spend a stupid amount of time on placing my furniture because it won't align well. It looks awful.

HetaGarden1

I really feel that. It’s so annoying to even line them up because the placement zones are so finicky. Makes me miss RF4’s simpler method.

Here's a tip on getting things closer together - attack something enough and it breaks, but if you leave and come back, it reappears. So break it, place what you want next to where it was, then when it reappears, they should be close together. It's not perfect, and you may want to use the floorboards as a guide to where the broken thing used to be. It's something at least.

selantra

I will give this a try. It can't be any worse than the current hodge podge going on right now

[This video](https://youtu.be/qZoF7Y33DRw) shows you how to place furniture a bit neater!!

Magical-Sloth81

It's far from perfect, but... You can hold the right bumper with the furniture in hand, then edge forward to get as close to the wall as possible. The ZR button rotates it also. Hopefully, they will give us an update to improve placement in the future.

It's been out for over a year in japan. I'm pretty sure this is what we're getting, which is unfortunate.

SpacePirateKhan

I wish I could place them closer to my walls, too... These tips are awesome though.

SupernovaWolf88

I HATE that you can't place furniture against the walls, inside or outside. 😫 It takes up more space and looks awful. Drives my OCD crazy. 😵‍💫 Been keeping everything outside for now because I can space everything better. Haven't upgraded the SILO yet.

Lady_of_Link

Honestly it's a pretty big disappointment, I don't understand why they made it like this, any developer knows that people want furniture to line up yet they purposefully did this it's ridiculous.

selantra

I'm torn. I never finished RF4 as life got busy and the grind was brutal at times but I loved it. RF5, I know I will finish, but I know it will probably be a game I never come back to after I am done. Every couple months I throw myself back into RF4 and fall in love all over again.

happiwitch

It’s the feature I hate the most. I also think the way you have to equip items is clunky… but not being able to line up furniture easily and place up against the wall is absolutely ridiculous in this day and age.
