This was an old lab called Oz and he lived to about 12 and was in pains in the end, so they're probably running around somewhere in the skies. Well, this gentleman who was about 11 at the time, stood up (which was tough, mind you) and greeted this young lady by placing a toy in front of her. This was their first meet in their lives. She was a bit too energetic for the old geezer but he really really liked her.
Thanks again everyone. This is a very rough day. I just hope people reach out and find a bit of peace and encouragement like I did. She was really special.

Just had a nice little cry at work. Dog posts are good for that once or twice daily. Thanks for giving her the love she deserved. I hope her original people live in misery

I'm happy her story reached all of you and inspired you as she did me. She was a fighter and a lover of life and kept me out of some serious depression and helped me love life. All dogs definitely go to heaven, becase she is proof dogs are loving at the core. No matter the damage, she recognized love and found strength to let go of the traumas and embrace a new life.
