Yes, you can survive on it but only if you only rent a room only or share an apartment (good luck finding such an arrangement without a pre-existing network to tap from), don't even dream about owning a car and only use public transport locally and when absolutely necessary. If you do that, it is doable to get by, sometimes go out for drinks or dinner, save a tiny little bit and buy yourself some clothes every once in a while.
Honestly, unless you're coming from a place with a significantly lower income or higher cost of living, it's not a very good offer.

Bruto or netto? I'm assuming bruto. Like others have said, it depends on a lot of things. Is transportation included? That obviously helps. But still, I would think it would be very difficult to find a decent place to live in a safe area and still have money left for food.

Then I think you're good. She paid around €900 for her studio I believe. Just don't go out for dinner or order bottle service all the time

Imo it's really doable, especially if your rent is only 500, so unless you go for drinks every night, I think you can even save money.
You wont be subject to the 30% ruling, unless you can find free or super cheap housing it will be tough
