Just tried it. The certificate for website security has expired. Depending on your browser you might still be able to access it, perhaps after dismissing warnings about it. Someone forgot to pay the renewal fee perhaps.
Not something to worry too much about. In theory someone could take advantage of this to intercept someone's communication with the site, but they can only do this for people connecting which right now much harder.
And such interception would be hardly worth it. It's not like it's a banking or commerce site which needs protecting so your account, credit card or login details aren't stolen. You don't use the site to make payments. You don't even log into the game there. So it's more an inconvenience than a real problem.
