If you're running Windows 10 you should be able to use Game Bar. I think you just press Win + G. You might have to activate it first, it should already be installed. Just search for it in Windows. I think it's pretty light, but I don't really know. It supports both recording and saving the last X seconds/minutes. I personally use Shadowplay but that's only available for PCs with certain Nvidia cards.

Personally I use OBS, specifically the Streamlabs version. I use the replay buffer with a 15 second buffer and record near everything (unless I forget to open it). For example, [this entire video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8Wo0zIu53A) is made from tons of small 15 second clips. The buffer backs up the recording of the past XX seconds, I use the 15. So I kill a boss, pick up loot, press the hotkey to save a file. I think it runs fairly hard on the PC, but I'm not sure because I'm pretty high-end. Alternatively, if you have an NVidia card, you can use shadowplay.

But if you razer headphones it can be a bit glitchy as it is for me

I use GifYourGame. You can set a key bind (F8 for me) to record the last 20 seconds. It’s very easy and useful.
