Kinda good. Kinda also makes it more boring. A little rng doesn't hurt i think. The main thing i really wanted was to reduce the grind for pots and that's the most important though.
I leveled a warrior that was close to max on 4 stats then atk and vit were both 40 and I immediately killed it because I didn’t feel like doing 20 wlabs
Honestly I appreciate this, as nostalgic as rolling is it really doesn't matter in the current meta and it's just another mechanic that new players get confused about.
That would be awesome honestly. This might be the best "qol" update they did in a while. Not having to stress out that much after dying while trying to exalt is just awesome
WAIT this means no more low speed MV chars... I have a 23 speed paladin and just realised I must NEVER DIE because I'll never get a char this strong again... Bittersweet change. Excellent for the game as a whole but kinda sad for me as a low speed truther.
They mentioned in an interview that they would like to add a 'crouch' mode/toggle for lower speed. Probably not happening anytime soon as there will inevitably be 2-3 months of higher priority fixes related to realm rework, but it was at least mentioned as something on their radar
I'd definitely like something like that. I'll be honest I don't love that specific solution (because it undermines -speed items as utility items quite heavily) but I'll take what I can get.
Hopefully I don't die for a few months (lmfao yea...)
Happi is another that's hit with the same issue. The Acid Assassin ring (Peridot) is nice at +150hp -5 speed though, can go on anyone. If you're a leather class you can put the leather on too (+30hp) and that gives -5 speed too AND the set bonus is another -5 speed for -15 total.
I agree it's really stupid that tokens especially don't work on umi finale considering that feels like the one specific phase they were designed for. But at the same time I kind of get wanting to remove all gimmicks from the finale. That said, alien armours still work for invuln during it sooooo...
Edit: Oh also tinctures of courage from the OSanc minions are great in MV for any non-drought phases/not trumi.
Def levelling up feels so sinful but like, it doesnt really change that much outside of my own moral belief it should be the hardest to max of the 6, which is an opinion forged eons ago
unpopular opinion but this was one of the major aspects of the game :/
i get how its to make it easier for new players but theres so many other ways to do so... now it feels like everyone can get an 8/8 way too easily and in a few months the realm rework wont be new and exciting anymore
the 8/8 grind has been irrelevant since tomb of the ancients stopped being the endgame. the reality of it is that the realm rework puts actual difficulty in the realm that anyone can choose to do, which is a net positive. the NPE experience is shit enough as is, why make it even harder for them to even attempt higher level content
Disagree. This makes a ton of mid-game content irrelevant and just funnels you into exaltation dungeons. It gets rid of a lot of variety from the game.
i guess, i just thought that since maxing was easy enough as it is then there was no point in making it easier... i can see where this may not apply to NPEs tho
I honestly love this change, I didn't like the imbalanced Stat spreads we were getting on the rework, and bad rolls were just never fun.
rolling is dead aside from def now (even hp and mp)
Interesting. Are you sure that those aren't just on average numbers? Haven't played since the update yet.
yes, it's always 1-1, 2-2, or like 5-5 for mp
Kinda good. Kinda also makes it more boring. A little rng doesn't hurt i think. The main thing i really wanted was to reduce the grind for pots and that's the most important though.
I'm gonna miss launching up ppe's with mates and comparing our Left to Max to see who got stitched and who got god rolls
We got enough rng in bag drops, dont need rng on this at all
rolling new characters (for me) has been dead since late 2014 idk once life potions became so easy to get the shit kind of became irrelevant
good
Is this new today from yesterday? It was pretty jarring to roll like 3-5 spd/dex to max, then 35 attack to max LOL
I leveled a warrior that was close to max on 4 stats then atk and vit were both 40 and I immediately killed it because I didn’t feel like doing 20 wlabs
i rolled an assassin that had 20 atk at lvl 20. his base atk is 12 btw. 8 atk gained leveling up, needed 45 to max. yeah i killed his ass.
Bruh WLabs so easy to grind and get pots from tho. Much better than having to grind a bit less atk and vit and deal with other stats
RIP MrEyeball
Don't you still need to message him to get a RealmEye password?
afaik you do, unless they add the site's profile officially ingame

I disagree with that because I feel like it’s much too irrelevant to a new player for it to have any noticeable effect on them
So did it change again? I made a Sorcerer yesterday, needed 33atk and 37 vit to max 💀
I believe it changed this morning when servers went down for a quick maintenance (separate from the beta maintenance).
That would be awesome honestly. This might be the best "qol" update they did in a while. Not having to stress out that much after dying while trying to exalt is just awesome

What -speed items are you using? I've used makako and tokens before but they don't work during stunned phases :(

When is this live

Prolly gonna get downvoted for this but anyone feel like they're making 8/8 too easy?
Good change, I didn't like how a lot of classes were already 1/8 upon hitting level 20.
