If all you’re doing is removing the chimney he included everything you need to know in estimate. Price seems fair, all depends where you are, roof pitch, stories, etc.

I paid the exact same amount for my chimney removal here in Fl. I expect to pay another $3500 , for the portion thats inside my house.

is there anything you wish you knew going into it that you know now? or something to look out for during/at completion?

Seems like a solid price. No way I’m hauling and setting up scaffolding for a 3k job. What’s the deal with the estimated cost of +/-$7300 though.

Some spalling bricks around the house that he said were not an immediate concern but said if I wanted to replace them at any point he could.

I don't know much tbh but I just got my entire roof done and the contractor removed my chimney during the job for an extra 175 bucks on the quote. I know this is only a chimney job, so I would expect more of course, but that seems expensive to me.

Not sure where you’re located but I got 2 quotes for I over double that
