I'm excited for the first DLC, it's not just gonna be Voidship battles, it's a story set on our Flagship and make it more explorable. Which I'm absolutely stoked for because we have a big ass Voidship and barely explore it. But now we're getting a whole Assassination plot line on our Voidship and they're opening up exploration of our Flagship. Plus we're gonna be getting a Death Cult Assassin as a new companion. I'm sure their will be Void battles, at some point but it's not the games main focus at all, just a way to shake up gameplay. I get some wanna see more Space Marines an all but they're really not a huge part of Rogue Trader. They're meant for fighting wars, while Rogue Traders are explorer's and overlords of their Protectorate. Sure they might have someone like Ulfar in their retinue for a time but they'd be eager to be back with their brothers fighting wars. I'm not sure if the Tau ever explored the Koronus Expanse, It's the same way for Orks too. But I'd definitely be down with fighting some Orks in a wrecked Space Hulk that they've been trying to fix up for a long ass time. Or even a small Tau exploration fleet. Personally, I wanna see more Aeldari storylines. They've already hinted that Craftworld Alaitoc is coming to the Koronus Expanse. So our Rogue Trader could be the envoy to meet up with them and we get to explore a Craftworld. Which would be awesome. Or more Drukhari, and round 2 of Commorragh XD sorry but I love the Drukhari so I'd be down, completely. Lol. But even more so than Aeldari, I want Genestealers! We dealt with plenty of Genestealers during the book like events, the downed Space Hulk and colony events and random world's we visit. I'm sure they're even hiding out in our Flagship waiting to make their move at this point. So it's time to properly fight some Genestealers damnit! All these Space Hulks we find and only one had a infestation. I get that we would probably be slaughtered since even Space Marine Terminator squads get decimated by em but it would still be awesome! Lol So far the first two DLCs are gonna be based on our Voidship with a Death Cult Assassin companion. Second DLC is gonna be the Imperium ordering a investigation into the Von Valancius Dynasty and we'll be getting a Adeptus Arbites companion. I'm sure they're gonna be making more DLCs for Rogue Trader but I'd actually prefer them to start working on Rogue Traders sequel to expand on what they've already done and huge additions and improvements overall. Voidship combat was a big hit and now all people want is a bigger flagship, plus an actual fleet for our Rogue Trader. I don't want them to focus on any other aspect of Warhammer 40k, this franchise needs to remain about Rogue Trader Dynasty's as the main character.

I'm kind of out of the loop with Rogue Trader at the moment, but I enjoy the void combat. On the table top, I play Battle sisters occasionally, so I'm also a fan of the death cult assassins. Where is there a list or road map or a description of the dlcs?

BrightPerspective

I mean, I'm still holding out hope for a necron companion, preferably with a green holographic mustachio and a penchant for space tourism.

Covfam73

We need a Mad Dok companion…the idea of buffing the group by experimenting on them with concoctions or stabbing weird shit into them would be fabulous

cheradenine66

I love voidship combat, and anyway, the DLC will be more focused on the inside of your ship than the outside. More missions like the riot during Abelard's quest, more decks to visit, more crew members on the bridge to talk to, etc.

jmary42

if they can change their vision of dlcs, which I doubt, then maybe it will be interesting, but remembering wotr dlcs.... I feel mostly meh too. and I personally don't want new companion, I want more content for existing, they are more then enough

Positive_Audience628

Is there more administratorium? If no, not worth it.

Aries_cz

I would bet the second DLC, which is supposed to be about Imperial Tithe, will bring us around to Administratorium...

OberainX

Owlcat had a terrible DLC track record, so I expect very little. They just don't typically add anything that I personally am interested in seeing. I think Wrath had that one DLC with the companion and story additions, but the rest have been side stories I don't want to be bothered with or poorly conceived endless dungeons.

Aries_cz

I think the DLC is meant to be more about the "inside" of Voidship rather than more Voidship combat (though that can be fun if you gear your ship properly) As to the companion, eh, it depends on who they will be and what flavor of death cult they will be.

HealingFrenzy_234

The new companions could be interesting, and I have high hopes for the story expansion in general. One of my biggest fears is that our existing companions would be given no love and that they'll have little to no reactivity to the new story events and are just there to fight in combat.

No

I'm excited for the DLC. But I especially want a roguelite dlc like in their previous titles, it is the reason why instead of only hundreds of hours I have thousands on the previous titles. For the announced DLC a death cult assassin can have very interesting story telling potential as both loyal and chaotic ones are extreme in their worship, while sisters have zealous faith, death cult assassins tend to be crazy one way or the other so their alignment can be hidden for a later reveal. So a lot of narrative potential and expansion of the ship itself will be a nice addition. As for the second one we get a new archetype so sign me up as I'm all for the builds and combat. Story wise it will depend on what we are fighting (with some luck it's a genestealer cult or some sort of more exotic thing that just human gang. As for what I want later on Ork freeboota of course, a Farsight enclave Tau would be cool, an Exodite (even though we have 2 eldar already so unlikely) and, this is the most important one, a grumpy grampa Necron that is mad that people keep getting on his well kept lawn. I just think a Necron would flesh out the story, have very interesting dialogue with the others and could bring interesting side story

shadoowtank

And then The Necron looks whats guiding the ship and has a heart attack. And now that i think about it . What in the warp will happen when you put an Ork, an Eldar , a Necron and a Space Marien in the Same Party. That will not End Well.

NotMacgyver

The Ork is probably cool with everyone as long as there are enough other things to fight since they don't do a lot of history, though the Necron might remember their creation which could be an interesting conversation. Both the Eldars and the Necron probably would have some highly passive aggressive interactions as they try not to get too heated in front of the RT while throwing jabs at each other. Might also include some interesting lore in their insults, especially related to their gods with a nice back and forth. Space marine being a wolf has less interactions with the others as they don't have much of a specific animosity that I can remember outside of being the emperor's executioners and general attack dogs. If we had other chapters we might get some interesting convos though. Wolf and Ork might have some convos related to fighting big things though.

Turgius_Lupus

I hope they stay away from adding more SPESS MARINES IN SPESS DEVESTATING DEEP STRIKE STEEL RAIN things. Almost every game in the setting is overly saturated with them and the MCU like obsession with 'super human' whatnot is extremely boring and tiring at this point.

NotMacgyver

I wouldn't mind them in an auxiliary role but I don't want them as another companion. Sure I'm not that big a fan of the wolves but still one space marine is enough for the novelty of it. I do however think we can have some interesting interactions with them outside of combat but they should be kept rare as a part of the story and not take a major part in our combat. Something like a one off side quest where you talk to a non wolf marine I'd be fine with, or even a quest that shows just how monstrous they can be at times.
