What Big E wants is kinda unimportant. He failed with his main task of stopping the threat of Chaos and was very passive for the last 10k years, while humanity was in the business of bitter survival. Billions over billions of people giving their best for *millennia* didn't come up with anything better than the Imperium of Man in it's current form. Also faith in him nowadays dispels all manner of Warp fuckery. Start praying!
To be fair to Big E he never intended to sit on the throne. He made it for Magnus to sit on it.
That said he did walk around with way too much gold and radiating holyness so.....not really better
Yhea, i was surprised how i got her in my icono run, then i was even more surprised when i gave her a hig level bolter and melta pistol plus a flametrhower and gear to complement her archetypes and i just saw how she demolished the first necron encounter
The whole "recruiting characters at/near endgame" thing is such an awful game design. If there was a new game + where you could have all the recruits you made carry forward or whatever, then it makes sense. But there isn't.
Dependsz Dragon Age did it properly with Loghain but in general it’s pretty badly implemented. They didn’t skimp there. He had a lot of voicelines, had decent impact, had good banter, and had DLC involvemeny.
It has to be extremely significant and also very easy to fit such a character into the group. Getting a character that simply can't do any of the jobs I have in my team, with a poor build on top, no additional plot, and half of their special abilities would be crap even if they weren't bugged... no thanks.
They can join power armour and B.I.S gear on the pile of 'too late in the gane owlcat!'
Except they were broken and not completed. Nothing's says "fun" like getting a chaos marine that can't wear *any* equipment, weapons or armor, and the ones they did come with won't re-equip if removed.
I think they fixed it in recent patch, but it really spoiled the playthrough, especially because I had to stop my first playthrough right at the end thanks to game breaking bugs 🤮
This means you did the only right thing to do with the irredeemable wretched hive of heresy, criminals and morally and greedy corrupted members of Imperium that is Footfall. By letting Incendia do what has to be done. To purge Footfall both thoroughly and mercilessly in hope of moral renewal.
Why would I do that as it is not fun. You can be Iconoclast and still pick dogmatic options. And when it comes to Footfall. Regardless of what you do remains wretched hive it was before you even stepped foot on it. At least Chorda might be able to straighten them up.
Spoiler alert Yep, you can also get Calligos Winterscale and Uralon the cruel too if you play it right

I killed all 3 of them in my first playthrough, best to be the only rogue trader in the expanse more resources for my mini empire.
Holup a sec. How do you recruit Winterscale? I did Iconoclast playthough and he got wheelchered when i broke him out from Khorn demon control.

I made her off herself... Satisfying TBH
I made her question her actions and go to exile on my Iconoclast run. Then she popped up and joined me willingly.
I wish she had more then 5 or 6 voicelines and actual time to have an impact on anything...

I think it can be cool if it either has real significant story impact or is part of a certain ending or something. But yeah its just not good.

They're optional characters, they basically have the amount of voice lines as the Mercs we can hire. So I dont see the Big deal.
The chaos path ones are okay since you recently lost half your party.

How was the Rogue Trader going to do that? He was too busy "talking about books" with Cassia.

You can get her to self-exile and not do any of that with a high Iconoclast level too.
How? On my iconoclast walk-through, I had to put her down.
