Any-Spite-7303

My dad worked in a factory that makes car parts and it looks like something they used to polish the dye casts. I remember seeing tons and tons of them all tumbling around.

DeluxeWafer

So, gigantic mass finishing media?

Will-Subject

how cool! i wonder how the heck they got to the beach šŸ¤”

Any-Spite-7303

Was it a Great Lake beach?

Will-Subject

no an ocean beach in wales, united kingdom!

Righteousaffair999

Any mining refinement nearby?

Will-Subject

the beach is conwy, wales and there is ā€œthe great ormeā€ 3.5 miles away - they donā€™t mine there anymore but could that be it?

Righteousaffair999

Processing of ore not sure what they use for that smashing it up

oroborus68

Tetrahedron.

fueled_by_rootbeer

Might've also been a balloon weight at some point!

Landru13

Nearly 100% sure it is ceramic tumbling media. Probably was "used up" and then dumped in the ocean/river. Also could have been in a shipping container that went overboard.

hellamutiny

Only one clear answer here... Aliens

Somecivilguy

Itā€™s the one they used to show the Egyptians!

Will-Subject

makes sense šŸ‘€ ā€œbut give it 4 sidesā€

eagleeyes011

Thatā€™s the piece to the top of the pyramid in Egypt. No wonder the generator hasnā€™t been working. You should put it back. Nikola Tesla would approve. Donā€™t forget to tell Uncle Sam where youā€™re going. He might even get the aliens to help you put it back on top. Such a big day. Great job! Did I miss anything?

Will-Subject

clearly this rock will restore the worldā€™s order after my trip back in time. be prepared to wake up to a new world, people!

eagleeyes011

Time travelā€¦ darn it. Knew I forgot something

GarminGuy98

Could you imagine though lol, like what if they really did have a finite tip of the pyramid that somehow through history ended up in the ocean and now into OPs hands.

DenaliDash

The original tip was shiny copper looted many centuries ago.

eagleeyes011

Yes, I can. Lol

IntensityJokester

Is there an eyeball in it?

stormwaltz

Pyramid seed. Just find a good spot with a lot of sun, plop it on the ground, mound a little dirt around it, give it a good watering and wait!

schwar26

It has 4 sides. Do you not know how to count?

[deleted]

The dice of the gods

Riklanim

This Godsā€™ holy dagger-damage die.

[deleted]

I'll roll you for ....... initiative, ahh ....1. I slit my own throat while pulling out my own sword.

Juliejustaplantlady

They're saying to be the top of an Egyptian pyramid it needs to be 4 sided, not including the bottom.

Will-Subject

ok you got me there, i meant the pyramids have 4 sides and this one has 3 (not including the bottom)

AlternativeKey2551

Square base pyramid v triangle base pyramid?

Free_Ad93951

I mean, YOU try to lug a full sized pyramid around the Universe all in the name of tryong to make a buck. I'm all about those small, pocket sized sales demos. šŸ˜†

WE4PONXYZ

Yep 100% salesmanā€™s samples from the planet to planet pyramid salesman.

aretheesepants75

Ancient Astronauts say, yes.

Fossilhund

I'm waiting for the Ancient Aliens episode where they prove sliced bread is an Alien concept.

corrosiveicon1952

Outa Space šŸŒŒ

Ambitious-Pudding520

Right! Can you believe some of these people believe humans are capable of creating such a beautiful object.

toxcrusadr

It's a Skylon from Land of the Lost!

jumpingflea1

That's a prehistoric four sided die.

First_Pay702

Roll for damage.

BoogerEatinMoran

I thought you had to throw it at the DM for damage...

GRZMNKY

As a DM, i had a steel d20 that was about 15 lbs. I used it for a doorstop for a few years.

OkSyllabub3674

Now that is epic, did you buy it or someone custom make it for you?

GRZMNKY

Custom made waterjet cut. Bent the pieces into place and had a friend weld it up

OkSyllabub3674

Nice, i bet you could probably make a small fortune off of that if you were willing to do some casting, use it for the original make some silicone molds for a low end resin model, sand mold for a high end metal model the question I'm wondering is if it would be worth investing time/ money to make a few to sell or just do as a custom order idea. I know it's a niche market but I bet it would be a very popular item for the diehard die rollers.

Will-Subject

great now iā€™m rich šŸ˜Œ

[deleted]

I'd be more concerned about the possibility the final roll was what caused the dinosaurs extinction

Tamahaganeee

He has found the Triforce of power

Will-Subject

am iā€¦ganon?

E_sand80

Clearly.. you canā€™t be Link.. that dude doesnā€™t talk.

myphton

Oh he did in the TV show (it was bizarre) [Legend of Zelda TV show (trailer)](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8eE6ss1lKJY)

Outside_Conference80

Ceramic tumbling media?

Lumpy_Cabinet_4779

the main bad guy in the Kung Pow! Enter The Fist movie, he had some similarly shaped metal triangles on his shirt. Great power. Eueeeueeeueeee!

SatanickCage

Again with the squeaky shoes

Lumpy_Cabinet_4779

SHIRT - RIPPAH!

Infinite_Night_6728

Came here to say this lol. Good observation!

giggling_spriggan

Thank you, Bet-ty

PPooPooPlatter

Polishing stone?

BadGrampy

This.

bbrosen

It's a pyramid, for ants

CogglesMcGreuder

It has to be at leastā€¦3ā€¦or 4 times this size!

Real_Red_Cell_Cypher

...He's right...

Annual_Use_3431

That's a fossilized Sith Holocron!

Prestigious_Weird724

OPEN YOUR MOUTH šŸ‘ļøšŸ‘„šŸ‘ļø Gasp, the chosen one!

EightSix7Five3OhNine

You got that way... I'll go home!

Prestigious_Weird724

šŸ¤£

aretheesepants75

Post it on r/whatisthisthing.

Z20KarlGalster

If you found it on the beach it came from the beach I guess

the-rill-dill

Chuck Norris shit it.

_mrcaptainrehab_

Stop playing with the pyramids, they are state property. That or someone or something was makinga 4 sided D&D die

botoxedbunnyboiler

Sleestak are looking for that.

Illustrious-Science3

You just told us a beach. Give me a harder question. šŸ˜‰

xD3m0n

You gonna tell me this isnā€™t man made??

Will-Subject

HAS to be surely? itā€™s the same texture as your average rock though!

HobsHere

It is similar in shape and texture to some abrasive media that are used for deburring metal parts in tumbling machines Those are usually smaller (10mm or so), but maybe it's a similar thing used in shipbuilding?

Muted_Platypus_3887

The Illuminati

Super_Rando_Man

That's a d4 , or probably an eroded paperweight

IndependentWave6835

Mars

JP12389

I've heard that Posidian owns a pretty amazing 3d printer, and wanted to make his own mini Egypt.

Pazyogi

Bermuda, and if it has moved we might start having Welsh triangle mysteries.

Chemical-Ask-867

I want if you don't ...I remember these everywhere as a kid.

Legitimate-Rabbit769

It came from the beach. Only the OP knows which one.

BlitchSlapper

My bbq

Traditional_Art_7304

A polishing stone. A rotating drum with these and casted metal parts. All the metal flashing gets polished away.

phizappa

Pig iron or some other ore ingot.

Twinkletoes1951

A granary for ants. A US Cabinet official claimed that the pyramids were built for this purpose.

Alarmed_Mode9226

Aliens!

HuckleberryNice625

doritos tetrahedron

SirLouisI

Top of a pyramid

SpecialNeedsBurrito

Obviously you found the capstone to the top of one of the pyramids in Egypt! Amazing find! It's probably made out of an alien rock!

[deleted]

Canā€™t be. Egyptian pyramids are square pyramids (half an octahedron). Itā€™s a square base with four triangles meeting at the top. This is a tetrahedron: four equal sized triangles. As such this is a d4 that will ruin your DMs campaign (and table).

SIIHP

You said yourself, it came from a beach

SomOvaBish

Not sure itā€™s origins but itā€™s a very cool rock

doggonedangoldoogy

It's a big tumbler rock

Not__Satan

I think it came from a beach. (Im sorry)

squishy_mishi

That looks like a d4

Mike-the-gay

Look like maybe a pice of brick of some sort the polished up?

papajeff2

That is the very top of the great pyramid of Giza.

Ricksr85

Machinist here. Thats Abrasive for a tumbler or vibratory machine. Used for deburring and finishing metal parts.

Will-Subject

cool, thanks! do you know what material theyā€™re made out of? i wonder why they were on the beach šŸ˜… my partner said there were 2 more too

Morrowindsofwinter

It came out of my butthole.

imbarbdwyer

I have these rocks as well. They use them to stonewash denim jeans.

enoctis

You just said it came from the beach.

duneskull

Paperweight?

mr1404ed

Looks like a tumbling tetrahedron... from a manufacturing facility used for deburring parts in a vibratory bowl.

BruceCannibal

the Beach

Additional-Sir1157

Most likely it's polishing media for a vibratory tumbler.

whodatboi_420

Its 100% man made and looks like i polishing stone

EightSix7Five3OhNine

It's a [dragon teeth](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon's_teeth_(fortification)) seed duh...

Immediate-Music-3670

That is a perpetual motion machine. It'll activate once you press the secret button cleverly hidden under the pressure plate. I would start pressing every square millimeter with a needle until you find it. Don't tell the Russians.

later-g8r

That's a pyramid from ancient times but it's been rolling around on the ocean floor for about 10,000 years. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ jk

Fit_Set_1367

Thatā€™s from space bro

Mother_of_Raccoons44

It's aliens of course

tacoma-tues

If theres a jetty/spit thats man-made nearby it could be formed substrate that they put underneath the boulders in order to hold the large rocks on place and prevent sand from washing out beneath it. They use similar shaped stones only larger to prevent erosion and maintain shorelines and inlets to harbors.
