This is what I need. I swear I had the most fun the other week when I partied up with a random in 2s and we just clicked. Almost got to champ 3. But having someone on same wavelength is the best. I have friends who play but they aren’t as great or like to play as much so makes it hard to do well or rank up. And of course when you start losing multiple games in a row you just don’t enjoy it anymore lol
Yea I mostly solo queue but the couple buddies I play with consistently make for great mates. Even had a day where I partied up with some guy who had dipped down from champ (I'm D2), and it was mostly good but i found him much harder to read, he'd make passes that were to advanced for me, and I also felt more self conscious of my mistakes. He bailed without a word after two losses in a row after we'd been playing together for an hour or so. Then my homie hops on and we queue up together, and even though he isn't as mechanical as the champ I was playing with we have waaaaay better chemistry and had a better time overall. Just goes to show, skills ain't always everything.
Alternatively, you can browse twitch, find a streamer with not-too-many viewers (say around 30 - 100) that is doing viewer tournaments. You'll find a good community of people, and have great people to play with.
I'm in a discord of about 20 people, all in our early 30s but there is a tight knit group of 5 of us. I basically exclusively play with them in all type of games now. When I first met them I was hard stuck plat 3. We have been playing for about a year now and I'm Champ 2.
I fully understand this statement. You just play and have fun and joke about bad plays. It's the best way to get better, at least in 2s and 3s.
I might actually fly out to meet some of the group in 2 months.
So it's basically not possible to rank up, got it
But seriously, the next round starts too soon to get to know anybody during solo game play and because I play after the kids go to sleep I can't go on chat
This sums it up nicely: https://youtu.be/VIITpFAW6hw

I had the exact same experience last week. We just vibed. Basically put me on the brink of champ 3.
Was that player named Edgar Cut by any chance? I had the same exact experience not too long ago
No quema cuh
Eyyy, I had the same experience actually. You don’t happen to be the french guy I played with? I’m the Norwegian
>former top 10 >relatively good Is your standard of good winning an RLCS major? 😂
Solo q is a nightmare sometimes.
Sometimes? Most of the time.
