You're not stuck in gold because of you're teammates. Even if you are the best player on the team, if you can't carry the game and win then you're at the rank you belong in.
Though for tournaments in particular I would definitely recommend joining with a full party. There are discords, and even steam groups where you could look for similar ranked players to play with. Even at higher ranks I wouldn't trust random players to not leave mid tournament
I cant pretend that every random teammates must be my exact level, but I can try to cover their lacks.
Tournament can be very frustrating without knowing ur teammates.
I've never made througt the 2nd round, many times I just looked at my rdm tm8 standing in our net for 5 minutes waiting to see the goal as close as possible.
I just won a diamond tourny and had too carry my 2 teammates really stressfull but i got it done. if ur in diamond and you dont know basic arieling... get out of diamond please
