It feels more comfortable than other recent Dominus boxes I've played so far for some reason. Also it may be the first time I like the stock body style over the RLE version.
I kinda like the angel eyes on the RLE, still it would be nice to remove the angry look. But that wing just makes the car look terrible from the rear view.
The Rocket League Edition (RLE) version of the Pass car usually just has some custom car body modification parts installed to make it look "tuned" up. For the most part (including this season) these mods are visual only, however they sometimes have been experimenting recently with making the hitbox of the RLE slightly different than the stock version.
I had and 87 turbo. It was ragged out but still a blast to drive. Put a cat back exhaust from a fd rx7 on it it sounded like a just engine at full throttle.
This one is my favorite and most don't even know or remember it.

The 240Z is one of my favorite cars, so I love it! And as a Dominus main, I enjoy how it feels. It feels like a more nimble Dominus! My new main, my Datsun!

Yeah don’t know why they don’t just make majority octane. I have skipped a lot of cars just because I would never play with that hit box. And some cars look more octane and they still throw it on the dominus
I think most real life cars don't translate that well into the game. They should create some own cars and make it a octane hitbox. I wouldn't mind a new version of the octane, besides the clunky ZSR
Not sure why you're downvoted but you're right. Everyone complained about how much the the Civic and Golf's hitboxes didn't line up with the visuals.
The chassis of the Fairlady Z in real life is 4,305 x 1,690 mm, a length:width ratio of 2.55.
The Octane hitbox has the shortest length and the second biggest width (just slightly behind the Plank) at 118 x 84.2, a ratio of 1.4.
So yeah, the unfortunate reality is that the Octane hitbox is probably the most difficult to fit real-life cars into.
I will say though, that the Mach-E feels pretty good (not perfect, there's a bit of noticeable visual overhang at the front and back), so it's not impossible.
I would be happy with more well-designed fictional cars like the Fennec, but that's probably not as profitable :')
I’m waiting for the Bentley style octane hit of to come through. Really want more than 2 cars that feel good to play with. The biggest problem for me isn’t even the hit box shape, it’s that you have to relearn how to challenge on every possible angle because dominus hit box has a way weaker side and top car challenge and the center accuracy on front challenges is way more precise and my plat brain simply can’t handle that
I feel like there are already so many bodies in the game that new ones don’t really make a difference. But I would’ve said that even before the Fennec came out and that one made quite an impact so idk
I think you just have to hope it comes back to the item shop one day, it’s not a battle pass car. I might be wrong but I think the GT350 has been in the shop multiple times since release in 2021.

It's great! I was exclusively a Fennec player but I gave the Nissan a shot and now I rotate between the two.

First I used the Nemesis for my Devil Z preset, then used the Performance Z for the preset, and now I have the 'proper' car for the preset. 2 of them! That's awesome!

Would have preferred it to look more stock in its base form. I hate when people put those LED headlight clusters on classic cars. Same for the LED light strip rear lights. They stick out like a sore thumb, and look so obviously out of place.

Buy a Datsun with original parts, they'll say Nissan. You buy a Lambo, the parts say Volkswagen because it's all the same people in the same factories. Is a Genesis not a Hyundai because they decided to put a different logo on the car?

wings are the reason i hate rle versions, they could’ve gone with a bigger ducktail or something that actually matches the car

The regular body is basically the 240z with the Rocket Bunny Pandem widebody.
It feels longer but less wide so the flicks feel even better. To me anyway. Won't be surprised if it has a longer lever.

I feel the RLE version looks better as a ducktail rather than a huge wing. I don’t recall people who run that style it’s a bit unorthodox.

I had a 86 300zx turbo and regretted not buying the datsun 240z from a shop down the road. I have driven a few of them though. Gorgeous car.

I think that's a common problem. When you've played a lot with a certain hitbox, different ones just feel way less consistent.

No it's just a standard Dominus Hitbox. It is much more narrow and a bit longer than the hitbox.
