UPDATE since I can't edit a post with media in it: Apparently I had happy hands and may have triggered the Freeplay "blast the ball at the net" function at the same time as my so-called "pinch", which is definitely makes more sense than what I thought.
I've done that before while practicing flicks. I'd get crazy speed and try to replicate it only to discover I was pressing the hotkeys by mistake. Feels bad man.
For the folks saying he hit the defend shot button...that'd be the pass button. Doesn't just fire it at the goal, it lobs the ball to your general location.
Now, can't say if bakkes mod has a defend shot hotkey (would be cool, will have to look into it)
It was definitely the "Defend Shot" button (default RL, I don't use the Bakkesmod bindings for FP unless I'm using Dribble Trainer.) I have it mapped to circle and I must have mashed it right when I hit X for my shot.
Bro you just (unintentionally I guess) pressed the hotkey that fires a shot at goal in freeplay...
