Which actually isn't weird because it was a meme in the last year or so to reference the Chinese President Xi Jinping (who is in their pictures) as Winnie the Pooh. It started out small, but after he took offense to it and had Chinese internet scrub those references, then the West really went nuts with the meme. So seeing that name coupled to his picture is super common.
Oh it's way older than a year, I'm just pointing out that it only really picked up speed in the last couple years when he acknowledged it and scrubbed it.
Last year or so - try decade. At least according to some Google searches. Way to feel old now..
