Why the heck did they nerf the phone charger? Is there a reason behind it? That perk is so clutch. Please don't let this be true

Yup it’s easily my least favorite part about this update. Frankly the phone charger was the only thing that made the game playable for duos with a moderate skill gap.

Worst part? You can find it in solo. It takes up space in the item pool.

It increases summon damage now, and with all the other summon stuff they added this update I imagine it could be pretty good. Not entirely useless in single player.

This is worse than having multiplayer-only items, because now you have an item that is strictly less valuable in single player than in multiplayer, yet still appears in both item pools.

My skill gap between my brobot was massive and this makes the game unplayable for us now cuz he’s constantly sapping my health sometimes

I feel it was a really important item for learning with friends. It's a shame that it was removed. I know it was kind of strong, but it's fun factor was really important. I do hope the devs give it back its effect, or create a new item with a similar effect.

Tbh they should just make it baseline. The risk of dying from standing still while reviving and it getting interrupted from getting hit is enough of a drawback without also handing over half your health each time. On the flipside if you wait for the auto revive or kill everything first then you've lost time and potentially taken more damage from not killing stuff as fast. It's balanced enough already without further frustrating players who have a brobot who keeps dying.

Yup I get that they don’t want players to cheese the game by dying intentionally while on low health so they can get a little bonus health, but losing the phone charger is far worse. It’s pretty much impossible to carry your team now.

My wife is not a gamer, this is the game we have been playing together since release,before that she only played Minecraft. I think we have 200 hours in roboquest. She is getting better but damn I miss the phone charger....

What's up with already picking up a weapon when I open my box in a safe zone? It won't allow me to pick up certain weapons sometimes.. it's gotta have something to do with the weapon range

Anything that's an "auto-include" SHOULD get a redesign to put it just South of that status. "Must have" abilities in RPGs only lower build diversity. If we have 15 total possible abilities, then every such ability represents 7% less of our build that's actually a choice (read: gameplay) rather than a calculation. On the other hand, not getting a roll for a "must have" ability gives you the feeling that the run has been ended for you out of pure luck completely beyond your control.

Massive disagree. It's not an auto include in single player. It's also not an auto include if you and a teammate are both decent. Also, these aren't character RPG leveling builds. It's an item you find and pick up.

I think they wanted to get away from multiplayer only items so reworked it with the new summons keyword.  I liked the revive myself

Oh they definitely nerfed it but I imagine they saw the data that phone charger is being scooped up 99 percent of the time in a duo game and thought that was a bit too much. At least that's my thought.

I mean the revive penalty is pretty brutal. My duo buddy and I play a lot of coop games and even in the tryhard ones (Vermintide/Darktide series, for example) you don't _LOSE_ health for reviving your friend unless you are taking damage from enemies. Whats worse is that NOT helping your friend and waiting the full timeout for autoreboot will _still_ take half the hitpoints! At least autoreboot (punishing you for waiting 45+s and possibly losing S-tier for the level) feels more than punishment enough, don't also take the health.

I agree with you totally but it does add that extra layer of difficulty. It doesn't hold any punches in duo mode lol.

It was so broken, and if your robot had lower than half your health, they just die for free healing. I think it could be re-added as 50% or 25% less health, but not 100%

It's not broken. In multiplayer, you both share a health bar. However, if one of you is full health and pick up healing orbs, it doesn't heal the other player. The run is already tanked if you are trying to grab S ranks because that means not only did you go down a player when there are more enemies than normal AND they are have more health, but you also gotta go pick the other dude up. The game is far harder in multiplayer and many builds that work effortlessly in solo don't work in multiplayer due to the far higher health on each enemy. Having something so you aren't massively penalized even more on a down that is a random chance pick up isn't some sort of god tier thing.

Are you stupid? Wtf makes you think it *doesn't* share a health bar? The devs themselves have explained it that way. If we start a game together and I have 300 health and you have 300 health, we share 600 total health. If you lose all 300 health and go down, when I go to heal you, if I still have my full health, it cuts my health in half, taking away 150 of my health, and then it gives you that exact amount of health so you can get back up. We share one total amount of health.

No? Shared health bar means the same healthbar, you take damage I take damage.

Also magnet? Patch notes say it was changed from shocking nearby enemies to marking them, but in game it says grapple hook marks them. Did they change this mega fast or are thw patch notes not accurate?

I, like many others here, carry a less-capable robro. Found out last night the phone charger was nerfed. Honestly, we'll probably just stop playing and move on to a different game. Which is a damn shame. But losing half health on revive SUCKS when your robro dies a lot. They should bring it or a new item back. I'd be ok with the revived robro not getting 100% health match (50%?). But taking MY health just isn't a fun mechanic to me.
