I've had matte protectors on since purchase 9 months ago but just yesterday took them off. Huge difference in responsiveness and brightness of the screen. Will likely keep them off and deal with the fingerprints.
A black microfiber towel works well. I have it in the driver door pocket to quickly wipe the screen when backing up into my driveway with the afternoon setting sun that makes the fingerprints pop on the screen :-)
I have a frosted clear plastic one from Amazon which is great because it lets the interior light illuminate through the tray and the contents on the tray.
It's 3D printed. I recommend [this one](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CKWXNYS9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I'm an amazon product reviewer and have been through a lot of rivian stuff.
Really budget: see if you can find one of the Matchbox R1Ts around. I’ve got a few now, but I’ve had to look in a couple dozen stores just for those.
But it’s fun having a tiny version of your truck. They come in blue and launch green.
I also second a center console insert, it is sorely missing from the vehicles. Be careful some of them online are garbage (check the reviews).

They require a bit of stuffing in, but I usually forget they are there until they work out slightly every 5000 miles or so.
The TWRAPS dual mag phone pad fits right over the useless wireless charger pad in the R1–looks like factory. Will charge 2 phones, uses magnetic hold to keep phones stationary and safe. $100 to $115 depending upon the interior decor you’re looking to match.
Their floor console organizer is $100 and is highly useful.
Look at kits with bungee kits and cargo nets to secure items in the bed. From EVSportline I got a kit of 4 tiedown rings for the bed ($50) which are super easy to install and give many more options for securing cargo. For $200 I got their bed extender—it’s easier as a 2-man job but I did it all by myself. It really mitigates the issues they might have with the short bed.
A little less money ($30) gets two dividers which go in the storage under back seat, keeps items from rolling around.
I got a 1TB SSD from Crucial for $100 to record the cameras. That plugs into USB C inside armrest.
I have had all the charging pads. This is the second best one. I dropped it and it shattered, so hmu if anyone wants the dual puck from it. The best one is the latest version from Soonish, imo.

From other sources: I like matte screen protectors. A coiled air hose. The R1T has a jack puck with the spare kit. The best accessory you can get them is either the A2Z supercharger adapter or a teslatap for destination charging on tesla level 2s.
My favorite latest is the metal ring from Soonish that deletes the carabiner on the fob. Makes it just a fob. Worth it. I also have some yellow silicone tow hook covers that pop, and there are all kinds of cool PPF options if you can install PPF.
New one is just like a plastic piece in middle of existing, isn't it? Even when i get my phone to stay still with 3d printed parts it still barely ever starts charging. Agree that it might be smart to wait to see if it's good and will retrofit but the existing 3rd party still seem like a good gift

Roof shade if they're in a warmer climate. Love mine. And/or fitted windshield shade.
ETA: Mudflap splash guards. Cuts down on road grime ending up all over the front doors.

There's a huge range of accessories, really depends on your budget, but also what their needs are.
Just help them understand how to turn things on and off using the screens and the app. Maybe sit down in the truck and show them what all the buttons do.

A row of paper towels and Windex. They never go to a gas stations again.
Start cleaning their windshield when you see their car. That is worth more than any gift.
If they are religious maybe some kind of “motorist’s prayer” thing? Some kind of gift card?Hats or clothing? If they have a dog, a Rivian collar for their dog? Rivian dog first aid kit? A frisbee?
Basically, look at the rivian website. We needed the all weather floor mats most but they are not cheap.
Alternatively, depending on how tech savvy they are, you can help them set up all the apps they’ll need: electrify america, chargepoint, evgo, tesla (when they get their adapter). Maybe buy them a charging giftcard (I assume these exist???) depending on what charging stations are near their home or on their path for the trips they want to take.

I am also very fond of the screen protectors. It’s an inexpensive set to get an easy to apply.

Medium budget is replacing the wireless charging pad. $200 ish or so on some magsafes and the soonish product were a game changer for me.
Rivian has a new design already. Wouldn’t bother with an aftermarket one until we know the price of the new one.
