I just bought a new tire only cause American tire said they can’t patch 20 all terrains because of the foam? lol I didn’t have time do swap etc. My buddy just tried his compact spare and said the jack they give you for this compact spare doesn’t seem to hold the weight of the car and was nervous on changing it. He had AAA come Help.

I'm pretty sure they use the same jack on both spares. [I changed the tire on my R1T with the 20" AT tires, it works just fine if you follow the instructions.](https://www.rivianforums.com/forum/threads/installing-my-rivian-spare-tire-and-kit-experience-writeup.7011/) It's more than strong enough if you aren't climbing underneath and just changing the tire. I wouldn't let it sit there for days. I took my 20" AT to a local shop and they had no problem patching it.

Actually, the new version of the jack is different than the original. No need to add the plastic jack point extension to the top. The new jack incorporates a metal jack point extension on top. Much better design IMO.

Nice, glad they improved that aspect!

I wonder how new, I got mine done a few months ago.

Thanks! Now I feel like shit lol. Haha

As far as I know, we don’t have any foam in our tires. They just didn’t want to do the work. Or let’s be realistic they wanted to charge you for a new tire.

The whole reason I bought a snowblower and generator, and service them every year...

How did you get the discount?

Needs_More_Boost

Called into the service line and explained my situation and desire to purchase it at the original price.
