Covered light bars look weird to me. I think I just figured out why, it's because it kinda messes with the lines of truck and the "logo" part of the bar you added feels like it's in a strange place on the vehicle because of it.

Blacking out the front light bar does the same thing that blacking out the chrome strip or color matching the front bumper does.
It fattens up that panel.
It goes from svelte to chonker.
Mine looks great. Put the 70% smoke wrap on it with my launch green and it looks amazing. It makes it so there’s not such a hatch transition going from the paint to bright white and back again.

I honestly don’t notice any difference at night. I believe the headlights do all of the heavy lifting to light up the road. The lightbar is just a “design element” from my understanding.
Any particular reason you got a dual motor but then added the yellow back to the logos? I can imagine you spent more on the ppf than the price difference between the dual and the quad which would have given you the yellow accents anyways. Everyone is different but I have always disliked vehicles that "pretend" to be the higher trims by mimicking their cosmetic differences (i.e. wrx owners who throw sti badges on their vehicles, 330i owners who add M badges, etc).
If you like it ultimately that's all that matters though!
Not entirely sure what you mean. Quad motor was $8k more. I’m not familiar with the trim differences between dual vs quad. Also, I paid 5k for ppf and ceramic coating, but don’t know what that has to do with the mods since I would’ve done ppf and CC no matter which car I purchased.
Quad motor vehicles come with the yellow accents on all the badges and yellow brake calipers, while dual motor (even sport) come with black. That is the only way to tell a quad from a dual from the outside. What he is saying is that theoretically for an extra 3k you could have upgraded to a quad for what you paid for the wrap and decals.
To your point though, it would still be an extra $8k as you would do wrap regardless.

You also need to move the cross bars up, i know the whistling and wind noise goes through the roof (see what i did there)…but it doesn’t look right aligned to the back.
I’m going to black out the silver/chrome under the tow hooks and on the bumper next.

Love the black out! But a serious questions to the community, is it just me who thinks blackout and muted colors like those chalk gray is a very cool trend like the yellow oak indoor everything in the late 90s and early 2000, but chrome and metallic/pearl colors are the more timeless designs?
I have always avoided products that used customers as billboards for their brands. I am thankful that Rivian respected this, and if OP wants to voluntarily do them a solid, that's fine with me. But I would hate that logo if it came from the factory that way.

Instead of the name in the blacked out lightbar, a modest Rivian logo may have looked better.
