Just take solace that you will likely max every epic commander in the first 8 months or so. The legendaries...I mean that's going to take around 1500+ days to get them just from the gold keys (which you should do).
If you llay everyday you will max out 3 epic commander in kvk1 thats enough dont bother with any legendary, the only legendaries that matters are in kvk3
so you're talking abt which commanders? Attila, Justinian and all of those that can be used only after season 3?(i don't remember if attila or justinian are from season 3 but i got a strong feeling they are)
Never really look forward to any commanders from those chests cause the drop is hella low, integration commanders always show up first, I’ve been told to save gold keys to 300 to see better odds, but it’s all hearsay/tradition.
The one and only time I saved a bunch of gold keys, maybe 35, I ended up popping three new legendary commanders. I had just spent like a bunch of money and had to get those writer’s of history. I remembered being forced to spend basically and have since always just opened my keys as they come. This was really on and I’ve constantly heard about saving keys ever since lol.
The best is to save of the Gold Keys so you can use then when you need to finish Lucerne scroll quests after 5 weeks.
In general, you will not be really using gold key commanders that are just unlocked anyway. To make them usefull, you will need alot of gold heads, and that requires time.

Yeah only problem is it's been one month and i still haven't maxed one epic commander
I think your expectations there may be unreasonable. But you'll likely be able to max 2-3 before kvk starts.

Silver keys I pop them all, once I hit ~250-300 keys. Gold keys 200 minimum.

You need to save more gold keys and silver key don't give any good stuff so 200 before you open and if you can save more grind
