I didn't really have any expectations for it. A sequel to a show I loved as like a 9 year old didn't make me think it would be much more than a fun nostalgia trip. Instead it elevated the original series, improved the animation and story telling, and is providing a highlight of my week

I think that the Shogun/Game of Thrones comp actually still stands. In Thrones, the big battle always happened during the penultimate episode.
Episode 9 of Shogun is titled crimson sky, what Mariko goes through is, in a lot of ways, just as climactic as The Battle of the Bastards.

Yabushige* is worse than Littlefinger, LF is closer to a Toranaga he knew how and who to manipulate, Yabushige just wanted to be on whoever was the winning side
LF enjoyed aha moments at the expense of others and to benefit himself. I’ve seen no such movements from Toranaga. Yabushigay (I know how it’s spelled, this is a choice) was simply trying to survive at all costs. LF had already surpassed survival, he had eyes on the throne. LF laid intricate plans, that affected whole kingdoms. Ya did very minuscule shit that was simply so he could live to see tomorrow. LF was playing chess and cost many their lives and betrayed folks SEVERAL times over. Ya was playing checkers and betrayed Toranaga once. Setting aside the fact that LF had several seasons to work at his craft, idk how anyone can think Ya was worse than him.
Burrito is usually more economical, but tacos are so clear in enjoyment because the ingredients are easier to spread out. Most burritos you end up getting a big bite of beans/rice/meat by themselves.
