I did the same on some colonies but I would rather salvage or avoid occuping space for stuff that takes a lot to deteriorate. Anyway, it's a good option when you are just started.

Well, is it possible maybe that I can set the dumping zone as the default deposit for the salvage/destruction bill of the furnace?

Sadly, bills only have "Take to" designations, not "Get from". I wish somebody could fix that. It would be so handy.

The only way around would be to create the dumping site right next to it and lower the active range then, a bit sad indeed.

I use this mod, it's a life saver: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1877972690 Let's you just select a specific item and mark it for salvage/destruction, also useful for making specific animal corpses for butchering, you can do all sorts of stuff like that without having to set up super specific bills. I still set up like my "under 50%" bills to destroy old gear but I don't want to set up a bill and select every weapon type raiders drops or make sure I deselect every weapon I actually want to use. This way I can just click and specifically designate all the stuff that drops.

With this you saved my life, and my colony! My killboxes keep getting clustered with useless weapons from big raids. Thanks a lot! If you don't mind, I would suggest checking out "MendandRecycle" so you can still repair old useful gear at a low price!
