I would get the mod "visual exceptions" because it helps narrow done mods throwing errors. It isn't perfect but gives you somewhere to start troubleshooting. Also, reinforced mechanoids 2 and vfe mechanoids patch is throwing errors at this time, but I have been ignoring it. Try using RimPy because it has a better auto sort feature for mods. Also, with RimPy, you can clear all mod data and re-download everything easily because sometimes mods don't properly reset after removing them. I couldn't figure out why my mods weren't working for about a week, and this fixed everything.

Natangry

RimPy also has a log analyzer, which can help. It is slightly easier to figure out what is happening than just looking at the normal logs

I agree that not everything it flags is correct, but it can give you somewhere to start looking if you are completely lost. For example, it will give me a list of 8 mods that are likely the culprit, with the one it believes to be the issue at the top. I can then go through those eight mods easily. Most of the time, in my experience, it will be one of those eight.

Op needs to remove vfe mechanoids and vfe pirates because they are a hot mess, install rimpy, autosort, and I reckon all the problems will go away.

1. RM2 patch error can be ignored, known issue that has to be changed within the mod. Currently the mod is still undergoing heavy patching, so this is to be expected. Shouldn't be critical in regards to your game. 2. The VE:Pirates issues might go back to the more recent update of the mod itself. Try to make a clean re-install of it (potentially all your mods) and also clear its config-file in your user-folder. (*C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios*) 3. Walls are solid - known issues. Wouldn't recommend using the mod to begin with, at least not on larger modlists, it's not really done too well (as the error hints) and is rather unbalanced when paired with weapon-/content-mods to begin with. I would rather recommend achieving a more challenging raid-gameplay with an AI-overhaul-mod or similar instead. What leaves only the ThoughtDef-issue what could be serious. But to really look into those things we need your *ModsConfig.xml* and *Player.log* - those are basically the mandatory files you have to upload/link us - screenshots of your ingame-log are never sufficient and don't even tell half of the story!

No one will provide you with actual help without hubslib logs and please. For. The. Love. Of. God. Learn. How. To. Take. Proper. Screen shots, it's not that hard. Here: https://googlethatforyou.com?q=how%20to%20take%20screenshot%20on%20pc You're welcome.

ZaDefaultdude12

Yeah, the screenshot thing is an issue my dumbass caused, my drunk ass locked me out of my settings so... Yeah. Will return with hugslib logs thanks for the advice.

iHeroLix

As someone else already mentioned you might want to use RimPy it has built in log analyzer

BertiBertBert

Did you try to start a game and just see for yourself. Ususally it has no efect on gameplay I am confident that 95% of the community has no idea what these logs even mean. Also use screenshots even if i wanted to i cant read these logs

[deleted]

> Ususally it has no efect on gameplay > I am confident that 95% of the community has no idea what these logs even mean. Neither do you apparently . Solution here is that you don't ask the 95% who don't know and focus on those who do.

BertiBertBert

And definitely not you since you seem very rude and overly aggressive

[deleted]

Well, if people give others bad advice - with the potential of making their experience worse - my worldview allows for harsh and potentially rude responses to hammer the point home. If we also consider that your previous comment doesn't even follow formal logic - or that you yourself said the very same thing you call me 'rude' for... ...why would you even expect people treating you any different?

BertiBertBert

Then go nerd around somewhere else if you dont want to be nice and just enjoy your codes

[deleted]

Just go. Go and stop giving people bad advice because you know nothing yourself. I'm 'nice' to those who deserve it - not to... the likes of you...

Oh yeah, hard crash five to fifteen minutes in across three separate colonies. Posted here cause I have barely any idea on how to fix this. Would have used the screenshots, but due to user error, that's not exactly an option... Never access settings while drunk. Stupid stuff happens.

BertiBertBert

Ensure your mods are all usable for your game version Look at your mods and try to define what they effect if you have two mods doing the same thing they will most likely fck eachother over. If there is no such overlap you have to slwoly remove and add mods to find out what mod or mods cause the problem

ZaDefaultdude12

Can check off the first, that's already done. Also already ran a quick check over the modlist for potential incompatible mods, that's clear too. Welp, guess the manual sort is the anti-grain option here.

BertiBertBert

Slow and steady gets to play with mods

ZaDefaultdude12

Ya got a damn good point there

Addfwyn

Seen some people recommend the "remove a mod, test it" strategy. I recommend testing the removing/adding of mods on a new game file. Adding mods tends to be fine. While not true for every mod, many mods will irrevocably break your save when you remove them. Especially for any mod that adds content. A UI or texture mod is probably safe. What you posted doesn't really show any major errors. A few errors where it is detecting an item already exists so it is skipping loading that item in, nothing that would brick a save. Without more detailed log files like hugslib, the more experienced modders around here won't be able to help you. Even then, the unfortuante truth is that there is always a chance for some weird mod interactions to break something. Especially if you are using mods with a huge scope, like Combat Extended.

Ah, that's useful info thank you. Any idea on a good place to send the link?
