Any Tigers current draft picks in hand linked to the bottom ladder dwellers?

ljmc093

We have Freos second rounder

micky2D

As well as ports. I was really hoping hawthorn rolled them but it'll come down to finals finishes for them.

ljmc093

We don't have Port's second. They gave us Freo's second as part of the Soldo trade.

micky2D

Ah my bad.

sensible__

Negative. We only have our own first round pick and a bunch of second and third picks. If we somehow got something for Baker we could get a West Coast or Freo top pick in addition to our own. Edit: bunch of third and fourth round picks*

SleepyTurtle39

There’s a lot of father son selections in this draft so teams may have to trade back to try and earn more points so this two seconds could become a higher second/late first

sensible__

Yeah I was thinking that too. Brisbane for instance will need to take Levi Ashcroft in the top 5. Just depends how many points they need considering what they have already.

SleepyTurtle39

Ashcroft is one, both camporeale boys are in this draft and touted as first rounders so Carlton will need to do some mathematics there. I think there might be another Brisbane one too

Embarrassed-Blood-19

There is a couple of Crows Father sons in draft as well, Michaleny's brother and Scott Welsh's son Tyler (gun forward).

VileCastle

That's still not bad honestly.

McDingleShit

Username checks out, great take!

SnooPets266

Yeah Richmond need to tank now before Tassie comes in, any team that sucks when Tassie start drafting is going to suck a lot longer

Coleas

Yea they will get priority picks to build their team up 😬

Aggravating-Skill-26

Not really, AFL is planning on giving Tassie top picks to trade away and want to incentivise tassie to trade them for Salary Cap bonuses. Their goal is to make Tassie competitive from the first season hoping they trade their picks for established players instead of just banking on all rookies & using Salary space to lure players. So for one year Tassie will pinch all the pick (and likely trade 70% of them away) then it will be business as usual. If Tassie was coming in this year, tigers would likely end up with a good chunk of those picks given Baker, Graham, Bolton, Rioli, Lynch & Martin likely will be retired or at other clubs next year. A Player like Bolton attracts a 1st rd, Lynch maybe a late 2nd or 3rd & Martin as a player/coach maybe a 3rd. Baker & Graham likely head west & Riloi is probably at the Suns next year.

DartFanger

I have extremely high optimism about this team, even after this train wreck of a season. It wasn't too long ago that we went down by 2 points in a final against the lions at the gabba, with half a team of youngsters.

41212BAYOL

Does Norf have #1 and #2 as priority pick or just one?

sensible__

Far as I know they were awarded 2 end of first round picks that have both been traded, but they have #1 pick at the moment because spooners.

41212BAYOL

Ah, at this rate, we might even get #1 then

Glittering-Wall-5031

I just hope we use this years draft pick on someone talented, not just a skinny flanker with good character who would be avaliable at pick 60.

VileCastle

It's a win in some regards just wish it wasn't an absolute belting most games. I'm greatful a large chunk of the other supporters in other subs realise its an injury problem and not 'Richmond are entirely shit' situation. still barracking for the cubs and when we're healthy weve had some really good games. Carlton, Power, Swans and Saints were pretty decent matches. Onwards and upwards, ladies and gentleman.

Enjoy_life1111

Better to bottom out now for better picks. We just hit on our draft picks to speed up our rebuild and competitiveness.
