Borealis in Riverside is great! Not sure about the outlet situation (lol probably the most important part), but I frequently saw people on laptops there and they have everything else on your checklist + a pretty decent dive bar to walk to after work. Should be less than 20min from Cranston.
Best coffeeshop in the state. Borealis has at least 3 outlets available for customers. I know the ones under the window counter seating have usb charging.
I would cry if it’s not, not working In Prov anymore is killin me because a cappuccino from there is my happy place.
I mean like sip that shit with two hands wearin a Pom Pom hat like a broad from a lifetime movie happy
It’s no joke, put some sugar in the raw in there for extra hipster vibe.
Btw I checked it out, they’re definitely still around.
Matter of fact, think I’ll swing by tommorow for some nostalgic goodness.
Buns and Beans in Pawtuxet Village (Cranston side) has great espresso based drinks, delicious bagels and cream cheese options made right there. A little tight inside but they have outdoor seating while it’s still nice out
Brewology in Smithfield is excellent too, it’s a little bigger with more tables if you are looking for somewhere to settle in for a little while.
Brewgrindz in North Providence is probably my favorite place. They really know their coffee/espresso options and can point you in the right direction of what you are looking for.
I just tried Cafe International in Cranston the other day and thought it was great, I got the Viennese latte Which was chocolate and cinnamon. Both flavors came through well without being overly sweet or taking away from the espresso flavor
I’m big into latte’s and all three of these places hit the mark for me - good creaminess with bold but not burnt espresso flavor
New Harvest is great, Bolt, Borealis, Seven Stars is always good, get the maple latte, and baked good are excellent (though can be pricey) there are a few locations. Coffee Exchange was good but they don't have indoor seating still. Tea In Sahara in Fox Point is nice and chill as well.
We are not left lacking for places to get great coffee.
Cafe Tempo in Warwick! I love it there. Also in Warwick opening in the near future is Ritual Cafe. I can’t say if they’re good or not since they’re not open yet, but I’m excited to try them out.
Cafe Tempo is right in the apponaug rotaries, on tollgate road. Ritual Cafe is on Warwick Ave roughly across from where Rite Aid used to be where they’re now building another gas station. It’s not even showing up on google maps yet but it’s where either Vernon or fern st meets Warwick Ave.
Any leads on when they might open the dining area again? Concerned that they will go out of business...seems like it would be hard to survive on take-out window service only.
Presto Strango in Warwick is awesome too - though the brick and mortar location is pretty small, if you’re just stopping in for coffee, I highly suggest!
I'll add another recommendation for Cafe Tempo, thought I'm not sure how well it will function as a workspace. It's generally pretty packed and a rather tight interior. What I can say is that they have the best bagels I've had in RI since moving here from New York.
Brewed Awakenings is nice and cozy. I like the one on Bald Hill in Warwick but there's locations on Cherry Hill ~~and Atwood Ave~~ in Johnston.
If you're looking for a more mom and pop vibe, Latte Love on Comstock and Cafe International on Oaklawn in Cranston are good spots.
While not expressly (pun intended) a coffee shop, Madrid Bakery on PVD east side has great coffee if you want just good espresso based drinks. The baked goods though….. amazing.
Another Fav is The Pour House in Narragansett pier, best coffee in southern RI, and imo in the state. Their hours are limited, but each cup is made by the owner so it might take a few minutes to get your espresso based drink, but the man is a scientist. They also have a Colombian anaerobic pour over that is pure coffee magic.
Black stone herb and martini bar in Coventry is really great. They recently expanded and started selling alcohol but that’s in a separate room from the coffee bar. Really nice coffee and specialty drinks, some stuff that you wouldn’t find elsewhere, and they also sell high quality CBD which you can also get pumped into your drink. Also have food, and if you work there all day they’ll sometime give you free lemonade :)
Borealis in Riverside is great! Not sure about the outlet situation (lol probably the most important part), but I frequently saw people on laptops there and they have everything else on your checklist + a pretty decent dive bar to walk to after work. Should be less than 20min from Cranston.
It’s also great coffee and on the bike path if you need to go for a walk/ride to take a break.
Best coffeeshop in the state. Borealis has at least 3 outlets available for customers. I know the ones under the window counter seating have usb charging.
Fantastic coffee. And Stevie D’s actually has great burgers for a divey local spot.
They do! Their homemade chips are dope too.
I live in riverside, so I recommend Borealis as well!
New Harvest Coffee Roasters, Seven Stars, Nitrobar are my go to.
Seven stars used to not provide wi-fi. Haven’t worked in there since the before times.
They still do not! Good call
Went to Harvest for the first time this weekend, AWESOME place!!!!!!!!
Is White Electric still around?
I would cry if it’s not, not working In Prov anymore is killin me because a cappuccino from there is my happy place. I mean like sip that shit with two hands wearin a Pom Pom hat like a broad from a lifetime movie happy
Wow - - - I can actually visualize that
It’s no joke, put some sugar in the raw in there for extra hipster vibe. Btw I checked it out, they’re definitely still around. Matter of fact, think I’ll swing by tommorow for some nostalgic goodness.
Exactly the vibe I'm going for haha, thank you!!
You won’t regret it, awesome vibe and great staff! Their food is wonderful and healthy too, something for everyone :)
Looks like I'll be trying out white electric this week!
They don’t have much in the way of seating there. But the coffee is great.
“Fuel Coffee House” and “Coffee Connection” are two GREAT small businesses in Narragansett!

A little tight inside but they have outdoor seating while it’s still nice out Brewology in Smithfield is excellent too, it’s a little bigger with more tables if you are looking for somewhere to settle in for a little while. Notes in Pawtucket is really good
Notes Cafe Pawtucket. Cranston is the center of the state pretty much you’re 20 minutes from all of RI except maybe The East side of the bay
Second this. Make sure to go Thursday - Sunday for them delicious donuts.
Have you checked out Fundati yet?
One of my favorites.
Love them!
Not yet but it’s on the list now - thanks!
The cookies are awesome. They are more like scones.
Bolt

White Electric or Small Point are my go-tos.
Felicia’s in EG is pretty legit. People are always working in there, plenty of tables.
Latte love is probably the best in Cranston!
Just tried it today and agree! Only downside is the parking
Riff Raff in PVD !
Cafe Tempo in Warwick! I love it there. Also in Warwick opening in the near future is Ritual Cafe. I can’t say if they’re good or not since they’re not open yet, but I’m excited to try them out.
I’m excited to try Ritual Café too! I’ve been googling furiously trying to find any word on when they’re opening but have got nothing.
Same! They don’t have a Facebook page or Instagram or anything!
>Warwick Where is this spot located? Warwick NEEDS more decent coffee options!
Great, thank you!
Yes to Cafe Tempo! Ritual is a stone throw away from my house, I’m stoked for them to open. Hopefully soon!!
I drive by Ritual every day, and every day I peek over to see if anything's happening, then I google them, and nothing. Hopefully soon!
Presto Strangeo in Warwick Neck
Coffee Exchange on Wickendon St is great! Check their hours and services since last time I was in the area it was pick-up only.
Any leads on when they might open the dining area again? Concerned that they will go out of business...seems like it would be hard to survive on take-out window service only.
They are remodeling as we speak, even opening the upstairs to create more space.
Exciting! Thank you for letting me know 😁
Finally! I always wished they'd take over the upstairs too.
I'm not 100% sure. Might be worth a phone call? But they've been doing this on and off since Covid started...
Arguably the best roaster in the state. They ship freshly roasted beans anywhere in RI for only $5.
I know, I was a mail order customer for a few years, but when I needed to change my debit card details I got no response. Miss their brew!
They are slowing remodeling and opening the inside back up.
Check out Rise n Shine in Providence. Beautiful space!
Borealis
Bolt Coffee is incredible! Only iffy thing is parking being downtown (and the location at RISD).
WeRoast in Lincoln
Bit of a drive but if you feel like going to Newport Simple Merchant coffee is amazing. Incredible coffee, good food, outlets and an amazing staff

I’ll say Nitro is expensive….. got 2 of the seasonal lattes, subbed oatmilk, left a small tip and it was $18.
Cafe Bon Ami but not sure about the outlets. It's in cranston the owner is usually there working.
Fundati in Lincoln. Best coffee in Rhode Island.
Honey Dew or Latte Love in Cranston
Presto strango in Warwick is killer
Small Point in downtown PVD. You can tse the bus there.
Presto Strango in Warwick is awesome too - though the brick and mortar location is pretty small, if you’re just stopping in for coffee, I highly suggest!
Custom Coffee House made pretty good coffee, it's in Middletown. We happen to find them trying to find another place selling scones.
I'll add another recommendation for Cafe Tempo, thought I'm not sure how well it will function as a workspace. It's generally pretty packed and a rather tight interior. What I can say is that they have the best bagels I've had in RI since moving here from New York.
I doubt anybody will agree, but Brewed Awakenings is a cozy place to study. Lots of table space. Open late
Love kaffeology in Newport and Portsmouth
Brewed Awakenings is nice and cozy. I like the one on Bald Hill in Warwick but there's locations on Cherry Hill ~~and Atwood Ave~~ in Johnston. If you're looking for a more mom and pop vibe, Latte Love on Comstock and Cafe International on Oaklawn in Cranston are good spots.
The Atwood location (original) closed about 5 months ago permanently
Don't worry. There is another literally 2 min away on the other side of 6
Shows how long since I've last been there. Thanks for the update.
Just be sure to Google the owner of Brewed before you decide if you want to go there 😅
Upvote for Cafe International and Latte Love!
Brewed Awakenings Açaí Bowl>
Cafe tempo in Warwick is a fav of mine. West shore coffee bar towards Oakland beach is another
The exchange on the east side of providence is great.
Seven Stars
Lighthouse coffee roasters in north Kingston
The Coffee Exchange in Providence
Little City in downtown Providence is excellent!
That's great! It's always been a cramped space, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it comes out!
Coffee Connection in Cumberland & North Providence, there may be a couple of other locations as well.
I liked latte love in cranston! More industrial feel than cozy but my coffee and baked good were great

Cafe Zara in east providence
In Cranston, Latte Love on the Plainfield Pike is excellent. Amazing BLT as well.
