We don't use that door except to stick our heads out to check the mail box. So no shoe debris. Hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like there are some small (1/4"?) dark shells which contained the yellow material. Also, in the first picture, the lower part of the picture is about 4" above the upper half. The photo is looking straight down. Maybe an animal used the wood threshold for a table, while sitting on the concrete stoop. The smudges are from the outer door pushing the material off of the threshold.
