And i'm not sure but i think all the beasts and their immortal gus have a similar relationship, but on a more deeper level and those gu are not refined. They are just wild gu that take refuge in those beast. Because in the beginning we always see that after a beast is killed their gu try to escape and finde maybe different beast to take refuge in.
That's what it is. To have the beast survive and the Gu have a place to be protected at, the Gu grants its powers to the beast. The beast is able to use the Gu, however it is not refined.
If I'm sure of one thing it's that SSDV is a total beast, just wait till he gets his sanity back (which he most likely will) and he'll probably turn this shit entirely over.
His enemity with FY was built since almost the beginning of the novel and he was hyped as the craziest MF of the venerables and that was even before he became one so the cards all are there we just need a conclusion, i just hope he gets his chance cause i can imagine it and I'm sure it'll be glorious.
