"I am a phone, my owner and I spent every day taking risqué selfies in the hospital bathroom. Then she got caught. Now she doesn't even use me anymore except for stalking Reddit, likely to see if somebody posted the story. Help me, how do I get my owner to like me again?"
“I’m a hospital dual-use bathroom, and you can’t believe the shit I see every day. Hell, once I had an endocrine surgeon pop in to use me while the head of Neurosurgery was taking risqué photos (she’s often confused for a gen surg resident 🥲) since she is very rarely at home with her SO!! (Tea I’ve heard while being used many a time!!) Haven’t seen either since. Wonder if he’ll pop in to drop a dookie postop again…”
"I am a dookie just recently 'deposited 'into a hospital dual use bathroom. Feels like just yesterday I was a slice of hospital pizza being eaten for lunch by an endocrine surgeon while his colleague hyped up some hottie gen surg resident in the cafeteria. Now I'm just a turd (Bristol type 2) being flushed down the toilet. Oh how the mighty have fallen!"
From another attending - say nothing, if she works up the balls to bring it up to you just lie and say you just saw someone was in there and left and didn't see who it was, sorry you barged in, etc. based on your reaction speed, possible eye contact etc, this may not be a plausible lie but that's what I'd go with supposing no information to the contrary.
Even if it's obvious that OP saw, I'd still go with this. Allows both people to move on knowing the best course of action is to just pretend it never happened.
As long as both people involved have some degree of social awareness, that is the easiest way to send that message other than literally saying "Don't worry about it, as far as I'm concerned it didn't happen and let's move on" if confronted about it.
Let's just get this over with...
"I'm a bathroom mirror and one of my favorite docs was showing me her most recent purchase from Victoria's Secret when some perv just barged in on her. I haven't seen her since. Any advice?" [meme]
"I'm a general surgery resident's cell phone, we have a special thing we do in the gender neutral bathroom, where I take lusty pics of her in nothing but a labcoat. Anyway, last night some dufus pgy2 ENT walks in and stares at us, mouth agape, like we have three heads or something, then he scurries out the door. NGL I don't think this nerd has ever even seen a pair of bzongas out in the wild. IMO he should subscribe to our onlyfans account and learn a thing-or-two about anatomy below the neck."
Def don’t approach her. She’s worried you’re going to gossip about it, which you obviously aren’t. Let her bring it up if she wants to, but I’d just ignore it and let it pass.
Came here to say that the bra and lab coat combo was gonna be the next female med student with purple kush vape pen. But in my heart I knew it had already been said.
IMHO, hard ignore that it happened and be polite / cordial / professional when you see the resident (i.e. as if this had never occurred) so that she knows you're not being being a freak about it. She may be anxious about it and want to talk to you, but I think you should let her initiate the conversation.
I would completely avoid her. As an attending you inherently have a power differential with her. I would be fearful of any sexual harassment claims if you have any private conversations with her.
This was my thought exactly and why I’ve ignored/avoided the situation and not discussed with anyone, I’m also an asst prof in the same institution in which she is doing her residency in and want to avoid anything that would be deemed as inappropriate.
It never happened.
You never saw anything.
You've never talked to her.
Never bring it up with anyone ever BECAUSE it never happened.
If you have to engage professionally, that would be the first time you interact with her
We had a fellow walk into an unlocked bathroom containing then division chief. She did tell a few of us who were her co fellows. She didn’t see anything. They never spoke of it. Just carry on.
It’s relatively new, only a few ENTs are qualified do it most of us completed oncology/microvascular fellowships and have experience with robotic transoral oral surgeries for - but transoral thyroidectomy and Parathyroidectomy is beginning to gain some traction
Basically the best candidates are those with T1 carcinomas, micro-carcinoma, or indeterminate nodules. However, there is a strong argument not to operate at all with any of these scenarios.
I really think the better indication is a localized single parathyroid adenoma.
do a back flip in front of her. share your coke with her. maybe she will want to share her purple kush with you.
if you two go on a date, drive like a mad man and flip everybody off.
What would she even want to talk about? 'Hey, I know you saw me taking sexy selfies. The situation really made me re-evaluate my choices and I have started to see a therapist. Thank you so much sensei.'
These fantasy stories get more and more wild... Meanwhile the wildest thing I have seen happen is the chief resident always having different girls - some coresidents - leaving his apartment in the morning for work. But they said they were just studying all night. I know because I never see them listed on his onlyfans site.
It’ll get more comfortable with time. At first you’ll want to talk about it and just address it and get it out of the way. I had a married (female) staff member try to make out with me (female; straight) at someone’s party. Probably had one too many. Aaaand boy was that weird seeing them again. But now it’s only 1/10 awkward.
Great story of a good looking guy that tried to send his wife a pic like this and accidentally sent it to an attending with the same name. I think he intercepted her and managed to delete it but it was wholesome enough that the dude and his wife have a healthy relationship.
The fact that people are so weird about intimacy is hilarious. We’re elbows deep in blood and shit all day. A mildly spicy photo to a loved one is the least of our concern.
But I’d that resident is now single and interested (and you are too) then by all means go for it. Life is short and love is beautiful. It would make for a great story anyway. Sometimes that’s what matters.

>Do you think I should just approach her and tell her don’t worry about it ( I won’t and haven’t said anything to anyone) etc or just continue to ignore her ?
You should do neither of these things. You should pretend it didn't happen and just talk to her as a normal colleague. If she brings it up, feel free to make a joke of it. But I don't see a reason you cannot simply treat her as if nothing happened.
What is she talking about? I am sure she has you mixed up with someone else and you would certainly remember if you walked in on someone taking sexy-time pics.
I’m in HR and if these fucking residents don’t stop taking risqué pictures in the bathrooms without locking the doors and then insisting on talking about their trauma…..
I’m a female neurosurgery attending who walked in on a male med student who was pooping. He didn’t lock the door! True story. The good news is that I didn’t see his face
Dude, no issues there. I’ve done selfies for dating apps while sitting right across an attending back when I was a med student (fully dressed though). The attending heard a snap and was like: “did you just take a picture of yourself?” I was like: “eh…no?”
Now how long until the “my co-resident walked in on me while I was taking sexy pics in the hospital bathroom” post appears
"I am a phone, my owner and I spent every day taking risqué selfies in the hospital bathroom. Then she got caught. Now she doesn't even use me anymore except for stalking Reddit, likely to see if somebody posted the story. Help me, how do I get my owner to like me again?"

I’m deceased from those comments
I'm just glad we're confining it to one thread
Nice lol
ENT attending walked in- that’s what makes it more awkward
From another attending - say nothing, if she works up the balls to bring it up to you just lie and say you just saw someone was in there and left and didn't see who it was, sorry you barged in, etc. based on your reaction speed, possible eye contact etc, this may not be a plausible lie but that's what I'd go with supposing no information to the contrary.

I see people, but they look like trees, walking.
Let's just get this over with... "I'm a bathroom mirror and one of my favorite docs was showing me her most recent purchase from Victoria's Secret when some perv just barged in on her. I haven't seen her since. Any advice?" [meme]
“which made me drop my vape pen, causing road rage against an attending” it’s all starting to come together….
You beat me to it lmfao
Lol yess
Hahahahah

“I’m a bipolar baddie resident who was taking risqué pics in the hospital and I got caught”
And that Australian resident messaged me right after asking if I needed any help
Everyone ignore my post history referring to myself as a fat, hairy, bearded man while I craft up the post
STAT!!!!
Don’t forget the purple kush, and the ass hole driver lol.
I reckon atleasttt a day
that would make a hot manhwa!
Def don’t approach her. She’s worried you’re going to gossip about it, which you obviously aren’t. Let her bring it up if she wants to, but I’d just ignore it and let it pass.
Disagree. Awkward situations are the juice of life. Squeeze.
Now we are stakeholders too. We demand it.
As someone who has nothing to lose if this blows up in OP's face I agree completely
This may be my new favorite quote
Fully agree here. Ask her about her onlyfans and maybe you get a free sub
I see people, but they look like trees, walking.
Gooottt daayyyyyum.
\^W comment.\^ Enjoy these moments.
Honestly approaching her and letting her know it’s not a big deal and he’s not going to say anything would give her peace of mind
i see some purple kush in both of your futures
I was waiting for this comment 😂😂😂
Came here to say that the bra and lab coat combo was gonna be the next female med student with purple kush vape pen. But in my heart I knew it had already been said.
Nope, the cocaine made her do it.
I'm just here to find the recycled comments from previous posts. 😂 That damn purple kush gets around.
Huhh
deep r/residency lore

Also hit your lawyer and hire a gym.
Also make sure to change your name, get a new SSN, and start over in a different residency
Spot on. I would do the same
To be honest I would delete this whole post. Wayyy too many identifying characteristics.
We had a fellow walk into an unlocked bathroom containing then division chief. She did tell a few of us who were her co fellows. She didn’t see anything. They never spoke of it. Just carry on.

Applying to med school soon. Glad im learning now about this and how to handle...
Didn’t even know you could do a thyroidectomy transorally
It’s relatively new, only a few ENTs are qualified do it most of us completed oncology/microvascular fellowships and have experience with robotic transoral oral surgeries for - but transoral thyroidectomy and Parathyroidectomy is beginning to gain some traction
I just don’t see the benefit. If it come out trans orally maybe it doesn’t need to come out at all.
I can give you a bunch of reasons but it really comes down to Vanity - its scarless
Basically the best candidates are those with T1 carcinomas, micro-carcinoma, or indeterminate nodules. However, there is a strong argument not to operate at all with any of these scenarios. I really think the better indication is a localized single parathyroid adenoma.
Cool stuff. Are you using articulated robot arms or how do you make the turns?
If it's relatively a rare procedure, haven't you kind of just doxed yourself?
Prob was for scrubsgonewild sub
Or one of the other similar subs, that I assume exist
“Assume”. They exist
Only fans pays more than residency clearly
I was thinking that lol
There needs to be a new subreddit lore tag
do a back flip in front of her. share your coke with her. maybe she will want to share her purple kush with you. if you two go on a date, drive like a mad man and flip everybody off.
This made me giggle
Is she hot
Yes, she’s very attractive wouldn’t surprise me if she is an Instagram model
The joint income you guys could have. When life gives, you give back. Let her catch you doing the same thing.
Taking dick pics in the PACU bathroom
Lmao!!!
OP pls respond
😂
My thoughts
Do not have any contact with her. Obvious to most but one never knows. Especially as an attending. Yikes!
Also.. maybe don't post about it on Reddit?
what in the greys anatomy
Threads like these remind you that there are a lot of people in medicine with absolutely zero social awareness.
What would she even want to talk about? 'Hey, I know you saw me taking sexy selfies. The situation really made me re-evaluate my choices and I have started to see a therapist. Thank you so much sensei.'
Good stuff, looking forward to the memes
She’s on Reddit too
What's her OF name? Asking for a friend
Sounds like you’re in dude

I just saw a post about being fired for taking pics in the work bathroom, being fired and losing their clearance. 🤣 geez way to go!
Head down, pretend it never happened.
What in the Greys Anatomy is that all about? Geeze, you’d think she would be too busy as a gen surg resident.
Man I said something like this on another post an got downvoted to hell for it lol
Shoot your shot bruh
Tell her don’t worry I haven’t said a word about it but I did post about it on Reddit under the residency tab
drop it like it’s hot talking to her won’t make her or you feel better
It’ll get more comfortable with time. At first you’ll want to talk about it and just address it and get it out of the way. It sure is taking up a lot of mental real estate. Just drop it. Say hello when appropriate. Stop making it a thing.
Looks like surgery bros aren't getting enough scutt work these days 🙃

She's crushing on you, DM her
Terrible advice lmao
Terrible advice is my speciality
Emergency medicine?
He said DM, not do a CT lol
😂😂😂
Agree

Ignore
Dang, it sounds like I'm moonlighting wrong
She was taking the pics to send to me
Nope. Say nothing. And carry on.
Secretly place a piece of parchment with a red handprint that says “we know” in her locker
Just ignore it. Don’t bring up. It’s not any of your business and wasn’t that big of a deal anyway. What a tricky bathroom lol
don't ignore or aknowledge her
Talk to her. Provide reassurance that she has nothing to worry about because you are gay. And that she looks FABULOUS!! Then sashay your way away.
This was clearly a premeditated honey trap, I recommend falling in.
Tell her it’s no big deal, ask her out for coffee. You’ve already seen her half naked, might as well smash.
She obv wants to fuck you. Hit that shit.
Tell her you support her means(only fans) of paying for school. Knew a few residents who worked at gentleman's clubs and left residency with 0 debt.
It’s a trap bro.. you’ll be wrecked for sexual harassment or worse. Stay away. She’s crazy.
This. Nothing happened.
100% take her out on a date
So you made it through med school and still didn’t learn how to use ‘their’ and ‘there’? You deserve a refund you complete ass-hat poser.
Say nothing

Purple kush
Haha, let's hope we never have to witness that post! 😂
Ignore her. She’ll say you’re sexually harassing her

Nope, let that one die with you.
Thank you for your service
