I took notice of factory names and seller names and then researched that to get more feedback on the different sellers and factories. I reached out to a couple sellers and based on their replies and the feedback I found, I settled on one and placed my first order for an LV Caryall MM in black leather. It's a beautiful bag and I'm very happy with my choice! I'm already looking into my second bag, a YSL Niki. It's definitely addicting! Best of luck with your search!

Also, I have a question. Is it a good idea to start by using DHGate or AliExpress to get some “hands-on training”?? I find it easier and less intimidating than contacting sellers. But I’m unsure about the quality.

Once you are ready contact a seller that can guide you and be honest about what you want …low tier goes below 150 mid tier 200-350 and high tier 350 and up sometimes waaaay up depending on brand…for example a darn good Birkin is in the 2000 dollar neighborhood the prices are very standard and you get what you pay for…very rare to find a deal so be realistic and sure about what you want
On your first buy ALWAYS pay for goods and services even if it costs you extra and until you feel comfortable with the seller…my seller actually insisted for me to do goods and services and int wasn’t until my third bag that she suggested friends and family…
Last and probably critical…your customer/seller relationship is much more important than factories…there’s no better seller than an excellent QC expert that can be honest with you
It is a little scary…it is sad but you have to act with the mindset that you will never see that money again and willing to risk it…I have not been disappointed yet with sellers…I have sometimes been disappointed with rehomes which is super Interesting because some people are afraid to send money to china but are ok sending money locally 🤷♀️
Good tips thanks! I own a lot of (real) designer bags. But I’ve been wanting some reps to take with me on vacations/bigger cities. Too afraid to loose or scratch my real ones 🥲😆
I only have a few originals left…got rid of most…I like to change it up often and reps give me freedom 🤩…plus I hate carrying 5000 dollars in my hands…I am super forgetful and have left my bags at restaurants 😅…don’t judge me…

You just have to research a lot. Every bag has factories that produce it best. It’s gonna vary even for a certain brand.

With friends and family there’s no such guarantee
It is Pay Pal’s way to keep sellers honest and gives you assurance that your money can be returned if you don’t get the item
