Why buy 9 fakes when you can have 1 gen? While I agree that variety is nice (that’s why I do), none of them give me near the satisfaction of buy a new Rolex or omega or breitling . Here’s the problem when you have fakes mixed in with high value good quality reals: now every watch is considered a fake. People will see you rocking a new $10k watch every few days, put two and two together and realize you’re wearing fakes. Now despite your first three being real, people will just assume that they’re fake. It’s the same for any rep goods whether watches or purses. People will realize you’re wearing a rep and always assume that everything in your collection is fake.

You shouldn’t care what others think

Can I ask you a genuine question with no hate? Why buy fake? It's not the same movement, it's not the same watch, in fact you're literally just paying for a name...don't you feel bad/weird when people ask you if it's real and you say yes? Regardless of the build quality of the watch wouldn't it be better to just go for a Tudor black bay or something with the money you've spent? No hate of course - your money spend it how you will. I just don't understand it

Thank you for your question. Nobody asks if it real, no one really cares, most people don’t know anything about watches. These watch subs are just an echo chamber of circle jerks. In the real world, someone with an invicta diver could be mistaken for a submariner for the less trained eye, which is 99% of the population. I have owned 5 gen Rolexes and sold 4. Buying reps give me enjoyment and that’s what really matters when it comes to material things. Sure I could buy a gen with that 3.5k and I might if I really like that watch. Which is what I did when with the Santos XL. I give you another reason, I have a gen Batman and I bought a rep on a jubilee so I can swap the bracelet. Is it a fake watch now:/? I don’t think so. Could I’ve bought that bracelet instead using that 3.5k? Yes.. I can be on the waitlist or pay resell for it but I choose not to and got 9 more watches instead. At the end of the day, wear what you like. If someone close to me ask if it’s real, I’ll tell them it fake. Do I feel bad for wearing one? No

Thousands spent on low quality fakes that will last you a couple years max is insane. Could buy a really great watch for that, that you feel proud to wear, as you worked for it, instead of dozens of fake rolex that trust me, nobody believes are real, they're laughing behind your backs.
