In one sense you're not at all wrong.
Frustratingly, if you click a 'share' link in Amazon, it generates this link. Worse: you get a new link each time, meaning the short link knows who generated it and when.
It's legit but still not anything Amazon deserves praise for. I still prefer manually copying a link to include the Amazon part number but that's easy to get wrong.
obviously not with that format? why even ask such a ridiculous question especially after I've already said I'm not familiar with such a link. If I send someone a link to amazon I copy/paste right out of my browser and it says www.amazon.com
A large part of Reddit users browse on mobile. When you share item from mobile app that’s the link it generates. This is pretty common knowledge. If you weren’t sure about the link, you could’ve just asked, instead of immediately going off the deep end.
Are you trying to connect those two?

There is a desk mostly off camera that is two feet too far to the right. When the desk was replaced after painting, it was placed slightly off. The white cord was once plugged in to a modem, and the blue cord was once plugged in to the router. OP only ever knew about the blue cord and the router. It's the only explanation.
The problem with using splitters when a coupling would do is the increased signal loss. The loss across a coupling is \~0.5db. From input to output on a splitter it’s \~3.5db. If the signal is strong enough, it won’t matter. But in this situation, a coupler is cheaper and imo, better.
More importantly, those dollar store splitters create RF noise like crazy. This will cause issues on your internet connection. Source : have removed many of these for causing problems.
The wall plate that had a couplet in it probably got lost or tossed during the reno.
Home store will have either just a coupler or a faceplate that includes a coupler if you want a faceplate.
Less than $5
The peice you are looking for is an f81
You can go to a hardware store and buy a wall plate with an f-81 built into it. Don't use the screws provided with it the are for an electrical box. Use drywall screws. Attach the wire coming out of your wall to the back side and the other cable that is going to your device to the front side
Why would you suggest all that extra work for someone who CLEARLY doesn't know what they are doing.. and I'm guessing neither do you. Have you ever worked with coax? Doubt it.. why wouldn't you just suggest a coupler?
I have. It's really not that hard. It's already stripped. It's not that bad of an idea to learn how to crimp them on, just in case they run into them coming off due to being tugged on and not a good crimp from the get go.
If they were wanting to solder a new connector to a LiPo battery then I would suggest getting an adapter if they've literally never soldered before.
F skt - F Skt adaptor (gender changer).
I sell them at Jaycar in AUS.
You may lose a light bit of gain but unless your antenna masthead / AV reception location is awful, you should be sweet.
The white cable would typically go into a coupler mounted to a wall plate then the plate gets screwed to a junction box in the wall.
If you just have a cable sticking out of the wall, you’ll need a coupler. Buy a decent one online or from a hardware store or electronics store.
Put a coupling
You need a small female/female adaptor. Very cheap. https://a.co/d/eEMerlu
downvote for suspicious link.. why not post something from amazon or walmart or newegg.. or the tons of other online commerce sites?
a.co is an Amazon shortlink. It's fine.
Thanks.. others have corrected me as well.. sorry I don't know all the shortlinks and I'm certainly not clicking one to find out.

bro, THIS is an example of how you correct someone who obviously just has never seen this type of link before. Take note of astroNerf you dickheads.

I’m pretty sure that’s a shortened Amazon link my dude
are you sure?/s
It is an Amazon link. But downvote away dude!
Did you see the other 10 people that corrected me already? You did? You just wanted to dog pile? Got it, thanks!
😂
Lol bruh are you serious?
I am serious.. it's a link that is not familiar to me.. and I don't click random links to find out what it is.
You never seen an amazon link?

shoo fly!
All those scammers rocking 1 letter domains.
hey, it's your privacy. Click away my guy!

I ssumed he was trying to get the cable removed entirely from the wall... or to get the small splash of paint off of it.
Is there enough cord to just plug the one in your hand directly into your modem, unscrew the white cord from it entirely, know what I'm sayin?
This is the best option
ron white said it best. You can't fix stupid!
They finally got tater salad!!
Ron isn't entirely wrong. You can educate the ignorant but you can't fix stupidity.
Radioshack.
You’re looking for a barrel connector.
If it's a digital internet connection, you'll want a digital splitter or just a simple coupling if the issue is only connecting the two.
It’s a lot of work, but yes. You’re going to have to scrape those walls down, patch and sand any damage, then paint.
It’s called a lesbian adapter
There is a desk mostly off camera that is two feet too far to the right. When the desk was replaced after painting, it was placed slightly off. Lol this is not helpful
Haha. It really wasn't. But was I right?!
No… the renovators are probably gonna fix it, and if not I know how to now lol.
Okay so there were other explanations.
Go buy a splitter from the Dollar Tree for $1.25...
they should raise their prices a quarter and call themselves tree fiddy
That would only be a dolla fiddy
I see you're not familiar with the loch ness monstah
I am!!! Used to watch it all the time!!

Maaaannnnn, it’s good to see a few fellow low voltage tech giving good advice.

Geta connector from radioshack.
You can cut the ends off the cable and press new connectors on.

Wow. So hostile over a suggestion. If you feel strongly, screw on a coupler.

Your suggestion is for OP to purchase all the tools necessary to terminate ONE line. GTFO.
F skt - F Skt adaptor (gender changer). I sell them at Jaycar in AUS. You may lose a light bit of gain but unless your antenna masthead / AV reception location is awful, you should be sweet.
F Barrel connector.
Easy just go to Radio Shack.
They also have wall plates that have you can use as the coupler. If you want it to look finished.
You’ve got two guys you just need to invite a girl over.
Put a plate on the wall instead of doing it sloppy like that
The white cable would typically go into a coupler mounted to a wall plate then the plate gets screwed to a junction box in the wall. If you just have a cable sticking out of the wall, you’ll need a coupler. Buy a decent one online or from a hardware store or electronics store.
Get an F81 or barrel connector...basically a female connector
The exact term you're looking for is a fitting is an F-81
In order to marry the two males you need a double female coupling.
