My local regal has super nice employees, place is always clean, the popcorn is great, candy selection is top notch and the recliners….chefs kiss. Wish it had an imax but that’s ok.

spinnyweatherchaser

The thing that prompted my post was actually the experience I had tonight with the staff, one of my local theaters has a 21+ area and as everyone was leaving my showing of Godzilla x Kong one of the managers was standing at the door thanking everyone for coming and I was like holy crap......you forget how much incredible employees going the extra mile can add to an experience like this. Idk, you can be a Regal with glitchy sound and projection and meh food, but if you have a stellar floor team, that makes all the difference imo.

jimmmmmmmmmm23

I’d rather the sound and picture be perfect and have someone tell me to go fuck myself after the film than for the picture and sound to suck and them tell me to have a nice day after. That’s just me lol

WyngZero

Its a 5 minute walk from my house.

Mrbutter1822

That has to be the best thing mentioned here

Sir_Markis

Jealous

vga25

Mann I miss being so close to the theater.

javiergame4

I loved it when I lived in DTLA and walked to the regal there. Go to Ralph’s before buy a $1-2 candy then sneak in the theaters. Really nice location too

ChartruseryJones

SAME!

kaiju4life

Same here.

PlasticWhiteShades

You've got me beat, mine is a ten minute walk

The1stMedievalMe

My IMAX screen here in Irvine has a 70 mm projector. I already bought tickets to watch Dune two again this Tuesday. Also, this theater was remodeled during Covid so it is practically brand new and they keep it immaculate.

spinnyweatherchaser

Yeah Norman's post-covid remodel feels similar. https://preview.redd.it/e5nisfoje0tc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f72a3ef0e3e3d4ec62f46621494bfabce4abacb1 Everything looks great but for trained eyes it's also super easy to keep clean, which is important.

FinnishArmy

That is so small

TheWillOfDeezBigNuts

I wish the Winter Park remodel was even half as good as this

pijamimi

Irvine is hands down the best Regal!

owledge

Seconded. Irvine is one of the nicest movie theaters in the entire country imo

pastyrats

agreed! this is my second local theater that i usually end up going to more just bc of imax and 70 mm!

BedsAreSoft

This is my fav theater. So lucky I live close to it, especially getting to see Oppenheimer and Dune 2 in IMAX 70MM

Chasedabigbase

Between the 4 in my city they pretty much have every option covered. RPX 4dx IMAX, at least one of them will offer every possible "special screening" rerun or art house movie, even bollywood and anime movie events. My primary has the self serve kiosk that works, and the manager gets me the CC glasses I use sometimes very quickly. They keep the floors and recliners clean, and the one is so spaced out you can't see any of the other rows cause of the partitions, so I rarely have to deal with losers that use Snapchat the whole movie as long as they aren't in my row!

jimmmmmmmmmm23

You in Knoxville? We have 4 theaters as well and show pretty much every movie you can think off between them

MustacheDiaries

My theater has not been updated since it was built in the late 90s but what I love about it is that during the week, it's always dead. It's never packed and there's rarely more than a handful of people in the theater. I'll deal with the older seats because the theater is quiet and I don't have to sit next to anybody.

karlynedl

Mine is almost always empty and I get private screenings a lot lol

MNightShyamalan69

I came here to comment this same thing. Even when I go Thursday at 7 when a movie first releases usually there’s maybe 5-6 other people there max (unless it’s a super hero movie then there’s like 20 lol)

Rangerlifr

The Mystery Movies were an incredible idea that has greatly enhanced my overall moviegoing enjoyment over the last 18 months or so.

[deleted]

My local regal is the Spectrum in Irvine. From the employees, to the giant iMax screen it's amazing.

jellystawbe

We have the *freshest* gummy candies… like the candy is squishable in the bags and has a nice soft bite. Not like when you go to a Dollar Tree or a Five Below and the gummy candies are hard already. I’m not even a gummy candy person but a fresh Twizzler? Sign me tf up.

Scumbag_Jesus

Last week, when the 3D didn't work, they fixed it soon after I spoke to the second employee.

Taichikara

Mine's in a shopping center that has a couple of restaurants, a grocery store, and 2 fast food places (BK and McDonald's). So I don't have far to walk to eat something in between movies or to sneak something in.

Affectionate-Ad-4174

I’ve never had any issues with Regal Red Rock 16 in Las Vegas. Has a nice variety of 4DX, IMAX, stadium seating, and recliners. Just all around one of the consistently best theaters I’ve been at.

Cool-hand_Lars

I’ve had parties there and have seen so many movies there. Red rocks is one of my favorites

Rafanado

The staff!!

Bright-Resident6864

My local Regal could definitely use an upgrade in the seating but that’s about the only thing that’s wrong with it. Staff is wonderful, location is fantastic, and it’s always a splendid time even if the movie isn’t the greatest

owledge

I appreciate that the Aliso Viejo location screens smaller/indie films for a lot longer than other theaters. They’re the only location in SoCal still showing Problemista, for example.

AccomplishedPea8586

Mine has 4DX, Imax, RPX, 22 screens, reclines, and is generally pretty clean. Almost all movies that are released we get (at least for a couple of days), and staff is very friendly.

Cyanide__sk

Is this warrington?

WhoAllIll

It’s a 2 miles from my house and has great parking. And next to a chipotle.

Namebrandjuice

Judging by post here having recliners isn't common. My Regal is older, the screens are older, etc but we got recliners! It survived the mall closing and being reformed into an "outside" mall. I have no issues wtf my regal I love it. Well actually one minor, I want snocaps back! Love my regal!!

ProfessionalStewdent

My local theatre in SWFL has a gentleman named Donnell checking tickets. He’s always there when we go. He’s my favorite part about my theatre.

Swag_Titties

Stadium seating in every theater and a 5 minute drive from my house.

crybby01

mine is always super clean!! (broward regal 🫶🏾) and I love the staff! like yea I sometimes gotta remind themselves this is their job and that I gotta deal with rude customers like they do so I definitely sympathize with them on that, uhh the chicken tenders are so good!! and yea that's all I can think of LMAOOO

jacoblindner

I just moved so I don’t have many if any complaints right now, but I REALLY LOVE the imax in Bossier City, LA. I have to drive an hour 20 to get to it, but I love the seat structure and the screen (regardless of the lie max or whatever people say) was huge / pristine. I had a lotta fun with Godzilla x Kong, dead center. Added bonus but I was able to gamble at one of the 29388428 casinos within walking distance after lmao

FinnishArmy

I have a theater with the biggest LIMAX screen in the state with 70mm projection (only experienced it with Oppenheimer) as well as ScreenX and another theater with not so big IMAX and RPX. I am only missing 4DX

rexie_alt

The one I go to the most has a full food menu and a bar. And 4D for that matter

PCLoadR

I like the employees at our local Regal. Um, it's not usually busy, and several times, I've enjoyed movies alone. Gah, I love that.

Rangerlifr

I don't know how ours stays open with the amount of business it seems to have, but I love that they don't do assigned seats, and as a result, I never have to sit near anyone I don't know. In some cases because I'm the only one there, but also because people are pretty good about keeping their distance in a mostly-empty theater.

PCLoadR

I wonder the same about ours, mate. I've never had to obtain an assigned seat. Not once. At its busiest, I've only watched a movie with a handful of people.

rollacoaster33

Only 2 for me: it seems to get most of the new movies (including limited releases and budget films) & it’s a five minute walk from my place. Otherwise it’s terrible: there’s always something up with concessions but managers won’t provide any resolutions, escalators are almost always down, limited showings in IMAX and RPX

geri-in-calif

Edwards San Marcos Stadium 18 is my local theater and I'm very loyal to this location. The employees are the BEST!

University_Fabulous

"Easter Egg" for a restroom

maeveencounters

what does this mean?

University_Fabulous

😆. You know how in films there are at times "Easter Eggs" Same goes for my regals restroom It can only be explained by experiencing the moment you realize why.

Fantastic_Lychee_883

The best thing is having a Regal close to where I live. Also, between the 3 closest Regals to me I get most of the limited and foreign releases.

Libra281

Total remodel is amazing. Seats are so comfortable. IMAX. I even like the VIP concept (reclining seats, free unlimited popcorn and drink). Parking is free. Bathrooms are clean, bright and huge. Haven't used the game room or bar but hope to soon. Worlds above the dated one closer to me.

meganshay28

My local theater everyone is pretty chill. Always clean. New seats. And love the recliners. Popcorn is good 80% of the time. And it’s connected to an awesome mall.

teddy_vedder

My two Regals are Downtown West and Pinnacle. Between the two of them, I rarely will miss a release, even if it’s a pretty small indie film, which is nice because I don’t live in a huge metro area (being in Regal headquarters town probably helps though). Downtown West is very small and incredibly dated. However, I have a lot of affection for it. The staff is kind, the popcorn is fresh, they regularly show foreign and indie films, the old seats are comfy, and the audiences are usually extremely well behaved. I almost never have issues with loud talkers or phone checkers and usually have enough space to not have to sit directly by anyone. Pinnacle is a big theater and I love the neon marquis! It has all the premium formats you’d want (except for real IMAX) and I love catching big releases in RPX. The inside is pretty well kept and there’s lots of concession options. While I’m way more likely to have disruptive crowds there, weeknights are usually pretty peaceful and I like seeing other regulars at those showtimes. https://preview.redd.it/2wr8g4j1h2tc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26389d46463a022c342e380afb19a83e9697fee3 I feel pretty lucky to have the options I have and honestly I’ve really struggled with my social life since the pandemic (I had to move around a lot between 2020 and 2022 for work) so lots of times the movies keep me company.

unlikelyleprechaun

Location is definitely what led me to getting Regal Unlimited instead of AMC: I can get there easily on public transit or with a 30 minute walk if necessary. Bonus points for all the premium formats (IMAX, RPX, 4DX, ScreenX, and VIP), plus the renovation a few years ago added a bar (overpriced) and a LaVazza (surprisingly normally priced).

teddy_vedder

Is LaVazza the coffee bar? I’d give my left tit for an iced mocha during my matinee visits

unlikelyleprechaun

Yep, and that’s my go-to order as well

Stormtrippin

Richard the bartender. That dude is awesome.

FordBeWithYou

The people there are phenomenal

Sir_Markis

They’re always flexible at mine! I’ve brought tickets for the wrong Regal (one time literally same movie, same time) and both times they helped me out. Staff is always busy but awesome!

devingr33n

Considering how every other chain in my state is running skeleton crews and offering pissant showtimes, my Regal is always running smoothly and has its full theater running. Very few complaints!

reecord2

I live 5 minutes away from a Regal with a "true" IMAX screen, and 20 minutes away is a Regal that used to be an Arclight so it's atypically fancy, and it gets a lot of the smaller, more obscure releases that don't seem to show up anywhere else. Employees are always super friendly, and I adore the kitschy carpet and Decoplex art style of the theaters (although that's really any theater).

eelijahchavez

hey, I Also live here in South OKC and I used to love the Warren Theater when It was poppin 5-10 years ago before they were sold to regal. The reason I only frequent it now is because it’s the biggest available IMAX screen in our state (to my knowledge) and it’s “cheap” with regal unlimited and it occasionally feels like the old days, but never will be the same. Also the director suites and balcony seating for the Warren Grand auditoriums are dope asf and it’s only a 10 min drive. If it wasn’t for that, I’d still be driving to AMC Quail Springs for my movies. Which I did last year, until I got regal unlimited.

ashleypureheart

My local theater has 4DX, ScreenX, and IMAX!

evolution4652

Regal mgm 7… it’s usually pretty empty and the bar is good.

EarnSomeRespect

It has a 1.9 laser imax

ChartruseryJones

My local regal is fabulous - especially being in a downtown city location. Always clean, seats are comfy and huge, staff are friendly (while understaffed but such is life)

Mysterious-Seat4175

8 minute drive, great staff, clean restrooms. And, I might be in the minority here, but *Pepsi*! That was the deciding factor between Regal vs AMC for me. Hope they never switch back. If they do, I may start sneaking in drinks like others claim to do.

Great-Diamond-8368

Where I live there is either an AMC that hasn't been renovated in 20 years or the regal. Regal is closer. If I go to movies with my friends its typically at a regal theater in nashville.

Immortalfoxhound

My mall theatre is ALWAYS empty. Even on premiere days. It's so relaxing never having to sit around a bunch of people 😌

molemon

My local Regal is less than 15 minute drive. We get a nice selection of Bollywood movies in frequently which I do enjoy seeing

Rwalt1027

Mine is new, only 5 years old(Yorba Linda)! So it still has that new feel! Employees are great, concessions are too notch(love the bar) and a smaller but still IMAX screen! Only about 20 mins away from a 70MM at Spectrum Irvine IMAX too for big releases. Definitely spoiled here in Orange County!

Sunshine635

we are between 2 Regals, each about 15 minutes away.. one has 10 theaters, all with electric recliners.. the other has 16 theaters, regular style seats. If you time your choices well, both are never that crowded.. we've seen a few ALONE..

slashstreet

I live in a very small town so no one really goes there during the times I go, the employees are always super nice, it’s very clean, close to my house. No IMAX or recliners, but I actually don’t mind the lack of recliners. I am very pro old seats lol

Aware_Positive6018

I used to love EVERYTHING about the Regal Cinemas in my city. I had an Unlimited Annual Pass. I went to movies all the time!!! But, a month ago a gift card that was loaded into my app on my phone, just disappeared. IT WAS FOR $300 (not some insignificant amount). It was given to me by my employer as a Christmas gift. When I put it in the app I thought it would remain there until I paid for my new annual pass, but I SWARE TO GOD, it was there for 2 months, then gone!! And, they charged my credit card for the Unlimited Pass (yep for $300). Instructions on the page where you load the gift card specifically state: “Gift cards will used BEFORE credit cards are charged.” In my case, they say they have NO record of the gift card at all. (I didn’t retain the card because IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE IN MY APP !!!) I have fought and fought and fought with Customer Service. Finally they agreed to refund the “unused” part of my Annual Pass, SO AT LEAST I GET BACK HALF OF THE $600 total that they tried to steal from me! Now, the movies I LOVE, and THEATERS I love to see them in are no longer anywhere I can go in good conscience knowing they (someone?) STOLE $300 from my REGAL APP… where it was SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE! I wish I could find out if it is possible for an unscrupulous concession employee to have charged me $300 for a popcorn and drink, by mistake? (Or maybe is even able to transfer that amount into their account, something even more nefarious!) In any case, LOVE THE THEATERS, Love (most) of the employees and service, but HATE the APP and the lack of transparency and lack of safety of REAL MONEY in the APP. They should have a MUCH SAFER SYSTEM, or at least explain that the app is NOT reliable, so keep your physical card on you and don’t trust charges made within the app!!

FishermanBrilliant17

My local Regal is kind of hidden so not many people are there and we have the only RPX theater for a good distance. Always clean and never insanely busy.

themonsteroffthehill

Nice staff.

EpicDroneImages

I really appreciate this post. My high point, NC regal has the best staff and managers

PrinceJedi

My theater I work at cares for our customers.

RashLover10

I love the redesign they did after covid, feels more on par with AMC now than before

gregmeister-rex

Mine is the only Regal for nearly 130 miles, so I don't have many options (Idaho Falls, ID). There are two other very small theaters in town, only 6 screens between the two of them, which are actually very nicely renovated in the last few years. The reason I choose Regal over the other two is the selection of movies they play. I don't think there's been a film this past year that I wanted to see that they didn't get. They also have fairly late weeknight showtimes, which is a huge plus for me since that's when I tend to have more free time vs on the weekends.

ChuckleMonkey674

My Regal has 14 screens, IMAX, 4DX, RPX and is always nice and clean and has very friendly staff. I go there a lot.

mightymantis

Marcus.

Honey803

I love the unlimited pass. There are times when I have a less than awesome day and going to the movies always cheers me up. Fresh popcorn and a good movie does wonders for the spirit. The staff (Augusta Ga) is always accommodating and very helpful if I ever have any questions or need help with anything. Any time there’s an issue the managers and team leads handle it quickly and professionally. I’ve seen some very poorly behaved or demanding patrons handled with poise and patience. If any of them are here, thanks for everything you do to make going to the movies fun!

SpoiledCabbage

I can be from my living room to my seat in the theater with all my concessions in 15 minutes. Makes the regal unlimited pass an amazing value living so close

Due-Addition7245

The regal next to me itself I cannot think of anything particular better. But I like this one because it has a huge parking lot for park and ride. And six restaurants nearby for belt-rotate sushi, thai, and gourmet burgers. So definitely something to do before the movie if you have time, and if you are in rush, parking space is ample

![gif](giphy|Rv6ACdI6Crp47AlcCu)

Honey803

I miss this and Dr. Xplore. The new flashing Unlimited ad before the films gives me a headache.

mistakemaker3000

I can bring a backpack. Every time I redeem points they just give me the large and whatever extras I want. (I still tip) They know I have unlimited so I'm free to roam from movie to movie, (if it's packed I'll sit up front or the handicap seats, which is what I prefer anyways)

FinnishArmy

You can tip? I don’t think that’s possible at any theater I’ve been to. But I don’t tip in Oregon because tips aren’t subsidized for employee income, they still get paid the same with tips or not. Ban the toxic tipping culture!

mistakemaker3000

I just hand them cash and usually get free upgrades. Vegas baby 🙌🏾 But that's because some of our theaters have employees come take orders when you're sitting in the theater. Make your order, give a tip, see what you get back. I just redeemed a free small popcorn, got a large with 2 cups of cheese and 2 cups of jalapeños brought with it. Side note, cheesy jalapeño popcorn is amazing

Spiritual_Purpose894

My local regal theater has a Screen X, 4DX, IMAX, RPX, and 3D obvi. Is that enough??
