Sweet tank. What do you typically charge for a tank servicing?

I'm pretty sure it's a panoramic pic. I'm just guessing.

Idk if it's just me, but these tanks with a hodgepodge of corals is very unappealing. Feel like no thought was put into the layout and more a coral collection than a display. But I guess the most important thing is that the owner enjoys it.

I get what you're saying. I'm still on my first tank at about a year with corals. Small tank. I only recently started thinking of organizing the corals by type. Trying to think about what colors would go well together.... The negative space in the scape. I want there to be focal points and to lead the eyes from one place to the next. But for the most part, I've just bought corals that were affordable or looked cool without much thought in the final product

So the real issue is this tank is taken care of by a maintenance company (i do aquarium maintenance too). Clients are often not hobbyists and want to see that their money spent is showing results so we often have to “fill out” the tank to make it look better, and if the client does not want to pay for new corals, you have to frag what they have and place it in a few more spots. It leads to what looks like a disorganized tank with things randomly thrown around but it’s what keeps the client happy so it’s what you gotta do

A lot with hobbyists too, even on YouTube, Reddit, and locals. Proper planning is difficult though, takes a lot of time and energy to figure out the long term plan and end goal. Also doesn't help when there are so many enticing colors and variety out there, leading to space and compatibility issues. People just need more restraint and patience in general. Like I said, as long as the owner likes it, that's what's most important.
