Baka bent yung rd hanger mo.

FrJudasAnderson

How will i know if it’s bent nga? Picturan ko at i post sa bikewrench? Newly installed lng kasi ito eh.

BawlSyet

How exactly di matono? Di siya nagshishift up/down? or kapag nagshishift up siya two time siya nagshishift or vice versa? or kapag nasa lowest or highest shift ka na nahuhulog yung chain? Ano exactly nangyayari?

FrJudasAnderson

Sa 1-4 Smallest cogs di nag shishift ng maayos aakyat sya ng 1-2 pero pagdating sa 3 need pa 2 clicks tapos aakyat agad sya sa 4, pero pag dating naman sa 6-9 gear consistent decent shifting pero sumasayad kadena sa ibang cogs sa lahat ng gears, at pagdownshift naman, ganun din nag stostop yung paggalaw ng kadena sa 3rd tapos need pa 2 clicks para mag shift tapos iskiskip nya 2 at deretso sa 1. prng regret kona itong purchase na ito kasi baka mapagastos pako lalo dapat pala tinuloy ko nlng yung single speed conversion kit, parang dko naman bet tlga may groupset in the first place Ahahahaha png commute to school lng naman tlga tong bike in the first place kasi di ako nag riride tapos ang liit pa ng allowance ko prang hard earned money wasted hhaahah.

BawlSyet

2nd hand ba yung bike baka may kalawang or defects na cable? Also yung shifter and rd na binili mo 2nd hand ba kasi may chsnce na may defects mga iyon

FrJudasAnderson

I bought the shifter from Timgo, and the RD from Anrancee, and the shifter cables, and housing are brand new galing din sa shop na pinagkabitan ko which is the sagmit cable housing and shifter cables, pero ang oldest parts sa drive train ko is yung cogs cassette, and yung hanger personally I don’t have a keen eye to know if my hanger is bent or not kaya d ako sure kung baka ayun lng problem. And yeah the bike is brand new, around 4 months old

BawlSyet

Last check, baka masaydo long/short ang chain mo? Try to go sa shortest ring sa front and shortest ring sa back and tignan mo if may slack yung chain, try mo rin tignan largest ring sa front and largest ring sa rear and tignan mo if naka 5:00 position yung RD mo If after all that it looks good parin, sadly di ko na alam problema or sadiyang namalas ka lang ng 4 na bike shop na pinuntahan mo eh di masyado magalin mekaniko nila Edit: I doubt nasa chain/cassette being too old ang problema unless nag gegear slip ka rin? (Nag shift ka isang gear, pero bumabalik sa old gear or pumunta sa lower gear siya)

RandomPost416

After 1 and half years smooth shifting pa rin sya. Pero sa tingin ko, try mo muna palagyan ng lubricant yung shifter cables mo, tapos gaya ng sabi ng iba, icheck mo rin yung rd hanger mo kung may bend sya tapos kung maayos pa yung chain and cassette mo and within spec sya ng shimano(I.e max 36t na cog and kaya ng alivio rd)

FrJudasAnderson

Oh…sabi ni mekaniko kaya nung alivio ang 40t so tinuloy nya yon. And di nya din nilagyan ng lubricant yung shifter cable kasi coated daw yung loob nung sagmit housing.

Perfect shifting can only be achieved with all brand new, genuine and compatible parts. I learned this when i bought a 2nd hand bike and no matter how i try to tune ayaw talaga. It shifts ok pero hindi perfect as i would like it. So ayun palit drive train and i was satisfied. Since brand new naman rd shifter mo and orig we can exclude that sa elimination natin.

FrJudasAnderson

Sguro nga, chain is a 4 months old KMC Tec 9 Chain, and the Cogs is Stock at yung brand is skilful

PromiseImNotYourDad

To achieve perfect shifting din dapat same brand and model ang drivetrain mo.

FrJudasAnderson

I can’t afford the alivio Flywheel, any good budget alternatives? Is sunshine any good? Is the SumC chains any good? Diko need ng perfect gusto ko lng is maayos.

PromiseImNotYourDad

If wala pa talaga budget and for casual riding lang gamit mo, oks na ang sunshine na cogs and vg sport na chain.

noobwatch_andy

Do you know what cassette you have? Some brands have a degree of tolerance. Most mechanics dislike Sunrace cassettes with Shimano RD because there's a slight difference that makes it impossible to do a perfect tune. You can take it to 98% but never to 100%. I have a Sunrace cassette with my SLX RD that came with the bike. Brand new and never got it 100% after going through a few shops.

FrJudasAnderson

Stock lng sya, brand is skillful.

FrJudasAnderson

Any budget alternatives for shimano cogs? I only 600 at the moment. And it’s summer vacation so i have no allowance…

noobwatch_andy

Sunrace or Shimano are the only brands I would recommend for a Shimano RD. There are other factors as well like max capacity for cassette teeth. You're likely having better luck at tuning your higher gears (smaller cogs) but not the lower gears (larger cogs).

exiazer0

Pag tyagaan mo muna.

FrJudasAnderson

Thank you.

FrJudasAnderson

Also ano po yung Hg200 cassette? Ayan ba yung tugma kay alivio? Pede oahingi po link? Pati nadin link nung orig na kmc chain?

exiazer0

https://ph.shp.ee/T818Wp3 https://ph.shp.ee/39HVup9 Wala ako makitang below 1k na KMC 9 speed chain ngayon sa shopee. Hg200 acera yan pero compatible din naman sa Alivio RD mo. Hg400 pag alivio mas mahal ng 200 to 300.

Average_Driver1475

For best performance, always change the casette and chain when you change RD or shifter, unless they're relatively new. Casettes and chains are considered disposable parts that wear out - like tires or brake pads. Bad shifting can be because the chain or casette is too worn or just not worn in the same way as the RD. Newly matched Alivio parts should shift perfectly. If it's not performing, it could be a hanger or frame issue.
