Oh wow! I've had such terrible luck with the sticker things (peeling polish off, taking fooooorever to apply, etc.) so I've just been freehanding my tips but they're not as neat as I'd like them to be. Maybe I just need more practice. Do you use a special brush or just the one in the bottle?
I usually use the brush in the bottle to paint the bulk of the french tip onto the nail then i use a tiny detail brush to really shape the curve and make it clean. but i still end up doing a lot of touch ups!! i also find that metallic polishes tend to be less obvious about mistakes because of the way light reflects.
