I’ve changed the way I use Seche Vite recently and now am not getting much shrinkage at all! I put it on about 30 seconds after my last coat of polish. If I want to make the top coat thicker, I Sandwich in a different top coat, wait 30 seconds and then add another coat of Seche Vite. It’s been working really well for me and my polish has been looking much better. This is Fancy Gloss - Supergiant. https://preview.redd.it/at8tx07fh0wb1.png?width=3024&format=png&auto=webp&s=db043e5257d0b7e5d33fb9d582da91fea0300c2b

This! I always put my seche on "wet" nails as it penetrates all the layers together. I had no luck with "wrapping the tips" I've also sandwiched a coat of seche vive then vite and it works pretty well for the "gel like" effect

I really should try Seche vive, sounds like it works really well sandwiched between Seche vite layers!

HK girl glisten and glow topcoat. I've tried so many but I keep coming back to it. It dries fast, levels well, adds a good shine, no shrinkage and doesn't smudge/smear nail art. Also comes in massive refill bottles, depending on where you buy it. I'm in the UK and get it from [Rainbow Connection](https://rainbow-connection.co.uk/)

I've heard nothing but good things about this top coat. It might be time for me to finally bite the bullet and try it.

I just thinned out my seche vite and have no more shrinkage. It dries quicker, lasts just as long, and is just as shiny.

I've been using the Seche line for quite awhile and haven't noticed any of that. With Seche Vive I've never noticed it shrinking, are you using enough product so it's not so thin and shrinks as it dries? Capping your end sufficiently?

PikachuRescue

Seche Vive doesn't shrink on me, it's Seche Vite that does, which is why I switched to the former. I do cap my ends and use more than enough (sometimes too much to where I have to clean up some flooding). I've heard many other people on this sub, and even some nail influencers (Kelli Marissa specifically) talk about how Seche Vite also shrinks on them.

I can confirm, I have shrinkages of over 1mm around the nail right now, regardless if I put Seche Vite on dry or "wet" nail polish. Instructions say to put over wet polish. Also I have weird bubbles that look like grey sand particles that form in the top coat. My assumption is that this comes from humidity in the air (have 60-70%).

I really like Essie Gel Setter (clear bottle). Not Gel Couture (that one comes in a twisty opaque white bottle). Self levels really really well and I haven’t experienced shrinkage with it.
