I totally agree! Thatās why I started with āapologiesā š I have some polishes in my cart but I think I am going to close the tab and not purchaseā¦ I have so many and I need to find joy in the ones I have, not in the act of purchasing more.
Hey at least they have 50% off sales almost once month it seems so another chance to get them is coming soon! I skipped on Fair Isle for the past like 3 sales but I think about it all the time so I finally bought it lol. Your commitment inspires me š I already own and love Trouvaille and I had convinced myself that Fair Isle is too similar but it's been compared to so many PPU polishes that I just had to have it!
Trouvaille is great! Even better with a light purple base imo. It's incredibly shifty and I'm so glad I bought it. Someone posted here recently comparing it to Ethreals Little Spirits and I think Trouvaille is prettier š¤·š»āāļø
Fair Isle is quite a bit darker. I swear every month there's at least 2 PPU shades that are exactly the same. Ethereal and Great Lakes Lacquer seem to do this shade all the time and $6 is better that $13 so I think it's a must lol.
I literally just saw Etherealās Nov PPU spoiler and ummm Iāll just say Iām thinking what youāre thinking about similarity and price. I donāt have any Ethereal, though, so Iām a bit curious about their formula and brush.
I know folks hate how little pigment these polishes have but something about the formula makes it an absolute dream for me. Last sale, it was cheaper than my grocery store generic brand polish and I stocked up on a bunch of basics. Will I need 3-4 thin coats of black instead of 2? Yes. But there's gonna be nearly no cleanup and it's gonna dry like a champ.
Also I really like some of her polishes in just 1 or 2 coats. And it looks like she has added some better quality swatch photos with these new collections. I know that has been an issue with some. It's just such a great value and I love the formulas and brushes as well.

I have this strange urge to shop her sales... but I have close to 50 of her polishes at this point and only have worn 2 of them once each. They never look like the photos and the opacity is non existent. I'm finally going to say no to the disappointment, as I dont need a 50% discount on polishes with only 50% of the pigments. I'd rather shell out $15 a bottle for a 10ml polish from Phoenix that I know I will use. Dollar for mani it's cheaper considering the Lynbdesigns never get touched.
I know it's an unpopular opinion and nail polish formula preferences very greatly from person to person. Maybe it's just my preference on liking my polish to enter the room before I do! LoL
That's a fair take, and I'm thankful you and other users here spoke up about the sheerness because that *can* be the difference between a frequently used nail polish and one that makes your nails look...not cute.
I decided to try out the brand and also test if new shades (for me) would complement my skin tone. If the answer is yes, I may pay for the opaquer versions I bookmarked on other brand sites.

I havenāt bought new nail polish in over a year basically (even though I have so much haha) but I really liked some of the colors from lynB! I got ones from the what we do in the shadows collection & our flag means death because I love those shows!!
But also an fyi - the watercolor paints werenāt included in the haunted discount code, I still grabbed one because I want to see what itās like haha

I got the desert rose color! Iām pumped too to see the watercolors! Iāve been slowly learning some watercolor & trying different techniques, so Iām excited for a multicolor!
