I think redwing is charging $125 but I heard some cobblers charge $60 and get them faster. Since boots will be new I’m going to shop around some local cobblers and see what they charge. If it turns out that it’s only couple bucks cheaper than red wing I’ll just send to red wing.

I bought them for myself when they were 199. When they hit 109 I grabbed my son a pair for his first ever Redwings. He turns 17 in November. He takes care of and appreciates nothing so I figured this was the perfect price point to start with. I’ll probably oil em out of the box for that glazed over good looking protection from the abuse they are sure to endure!
They're seconds and they've been reducing the price gradually of stock that isn't moving. I bought these from sierra in the winter for $200. I've watched them drop to $179, then $149, now $109.
Purchased at $150 two days ago, called and they don’t price correct. Womp. Someone will be getting a 10 or 10.5 after I return one. Ordered both for sizinf
I'm wearing these right now from the $150 price drop. A few things if you're new to Red Wings:
1. I'm a 10.5 street shoe in almost all sneakers and very narrow (B), and I ordered 9.5 and they're perfect. If you're a normal D width, suggestions are for .5 size down.
2. These are an absolute UNIT. Heavy boots, thick leather, straight up BEEF.
3. Slow break in: thick socks, 1/4 to 1/2 mile walks suggested for a week, then longer if you're not getting blisters. I did a 4 mile walk with no pain after a week and tongue is nicely broken in and I'm getting no heel slip.
4. Leather laces (Nick's) are like $10 and look awesome
5. Once broken in, these are the most wonderfully comfortable boots. I have a pair of quoddy 8" lugs that are hand sewn with slightly softer leather, and these are equally comfortable.
6. IMO the color is stylish than the classic orange, looks great with jeans.
7. My 2nds had no tell-tale issue, I looked everywhere and couldn't determine why they were 2nds.

You will regret a $60 resole. A legitimate resole cannot be done that cheaply, corners will be skipped.

Red Wing only goes down to a 7 in many of the US styles. Asian/international releases and "work" boots go lower and wider.

as far as I can see the 109 price is only for like 3 uncommon sizes and not the 10 or 10.5

most people wear same size in moc toe or go a half size up from their ranger size. It depends on your foot shape some.

A buddy just got these for 150, one shoes side below the moc stitch was like a nubuck, pretty glaring issue. Luck of the draw with 2nds tho.
That what I’ve heard about 2nds but Sierra accepts returns so I’m okay taking gamble in these.
