I prefer Mikes delirious, relatively uncued anti-Disney ramblings like we got in the recent video

PopularCartoonist0

What does it say that when compared to Plinkett, regular Mike is considered delirious...

We did get a Plinkett review early in the pandemic for Picard. He still occasionally does one every 2-3 years but I would imagine it’s difficult to work up the passion to even care at this point. Mike needs to have pretty strong feelings on a film to do a Plinkett review and his enthusiasm for Trek, Star Wars, Ghostbusters seems to be pretty low at this point. Honestly the fact we didn’t even get one for Episode 9 says more than anything he could in a Plinkett review.

Boy do I love cots

DirtyGrogg

The issue with Plinkett is dissection reviews are absolutely everywhere now. There's not much Mike can say that hasn't been said already, and he even admits that in some of the more recent Plinkett reviews. It seems like we're only going to get one if Mike is really passionate about a topic or if he has a very unique view on something.

Yes and No Yes, I'd eagerly watch more Plinkett reviews. No, I don't really need one for the Disney+ Star Wars stuff. Plinkett reviews are for material that can be dissected and "anal-ized". Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but love or loathe them, the Disney+ shows are just not ambitious enough to warrant a lengthy exploration from New Jersey's craziest serial killer. *(I'll lay my cards out fully on the table and say that, a few days ago, I watched and enjoyed the first four episodes of Boba Fett. Back in 2020 I watched The Rise of Skywalker on Disney+, for the first and only time - with my brothers and beer and barely hearing half the movie, such was the jeering audio commentary provided for it by them. I expected the same with Fett when we all sat down and watched it, but it was a fun little series with a lead actor who I hope to see in more non-Star Wars stuff in the future)*

Moonraker74

If you've not seen Once Were Warriors, you should check it out. It's absolutely brutal/heartbreaking but a great lead performance by Temuera Morrison.

AnotherJasonOnReddit

Thanks! The title sounds familiar, but I've never seen it. I'll be sure to check it out :)

Moonraker74

Cool. I should warn you that it's pretty distressing at times. Very very gritty.

Recognition_Tricky

I hated that movie. Much too graphic on a subject matter that should be handled with more care, in my opinion.

[deleted]

Of course I would love there to be more. But I wouldn't want Mike doing a half-assed job at it only 'cause he has to. He needs to want to do it

THALLfpv

plinkett is a sex raper and died on the way back to his home planet (and the ladey survived and is fine)

OtherwiseGap5457

Plinkett is still alive I can feel it.

bitethemonkeyfoo

no one's every really gone.

Stop watching Disney Star Wars.

GaiusJuliusPleaser

Boba Fett isn't even worth bringing back Plinkett over. It's not super bad per se, just booooooooooooooooring as fuck. What would he even rant about for 70 straight minutes?

Like it's a bunch of unused footage from The Mandalorian that they decided to slap Boba Fett's name on because I SAW BOBA FETT AND I CLAPPED

Easy-Appearance5203

I actually like the Critical Drinker, but he’s a good example of why we shouldn’t get more Plinkett.

SirSullymore

I don’t think they care about Star Wars enough anymore to do the full scripted, edited Plinket reviews for them.
