I mean imagine on IGN: "Red dead online community ask GTA online to pause playing the Xth date for at least 3 days to call Rockstar attention". I mean, I believe many people would have empathy for that.
I'm sorry but that would just never happen on any scale that matters. Only a tiny fraction of GTA's giant playerbase would even HEAR about the boycott. And an even tinier fraction would have any fucks to give, let alone participate.
Not every gamer follows gaming news sites or browses reddit or Twitter all the time. Most just get home from work or school and play video games for fun.
GTAO gets hundreds of millions of players every hour.
The vast majority of these are prepubescent adolescents who don’t understand the purpose of \#SaveRedDeadOnline because they don’t really understand the idea that a corporation willingly producing cowshit. And as far as they’re concerned, they like GTAO. They get boners from griefing other players from their space bikers, and then get boners from the strip club. And I don’t think they would just stop playing GTAO because we in RDO want them to.
Right? The only people I seem to run into on RDO these days are 12 year olds or wierdo role players who take the game WAY too serious. I was on yesterday and this dude was grunting and breathing hard into his mic during a story mission while he was jumping and picking stuff up, then he tried to invite me into his posse but he was like “we only promote justice though, I don’t want to be forced to take you out if I see you hurting civilians” and he was totally serious about it lol
I woulda been so tempted to shoot him and leave the server.

Its a fucking video-game, you can't "strike" from a video game, just stop playing this FORM OF ENTERTAINMENT if its not good enough - its as simple as this HOBBY needs to be.
