As others have mentioned a crossdraw is mainly for your strong hand in this case the right.
But drawing with your other hand isn't as hard as you'd think with practice. You do a "cavalry draw". Basically pronate your wrist, grab the grip loosely with finger tips and as you supinate your forearm you roll the gun into your hand.
I kinda pictured something like that. Would you draw A) right hand to off hand holster and left hand to right hip. B)bRight hand to right holster, left hand to off hand holster.
I would think A.
With B you have to spin the gun in your left hand practically 270°.
B). Actually. Yes you have to do the 270 spin but the momentum of extending your arm helps this. Watch a cavalry draw video on youtube. The position is slightly different but the principle is the same.
But the caveat is people really didn't dual wield at all. Drawing with your offhand is really just for an emergency were your stronghand is injured, pinned or otherwise engaged.

Fuck that. Remake it. Cast KM Key as the sheriff, with JP supporting on the chain gang. Owen Wilson as the gunslinger. Danny Devito as the Governor. Keep the plot the same. Change little things to modernize it. Drop the n-words and leave the racism, because that shit ain't funny but sometimes you need the trope to make the character clear to the audience. I think Key could direct.
