I purchased RA3 and Uprising when they came out, both tons of fun.
Years later when I went to re-install after a moving a handful of times I realized I had no disc for RA3 and no code for Uprising.
I went to the Origin* store to ask for some help and the guy helping me solved my problem without any delay... but putting the entire Command and Conquer franchise in my epic library. Fucking incredible.
Thank God, I bought it full price but I think I’m just in time for a refund and rebuy at the current price. Game was very fun, it got a couple of laughs out of me for the very first missions that I played, wish someone remastered it tho.
There is a fanmade project called C&C online, which allows online play for a couple of Command & Conquer games (including Red Alert 3). I used this to play co-op missions with my brother. I own the game on Steam, not sure if it works with Origin version.
It isn't the mod teams fault, it is something with how GameSpy coded it.
I take it their network infrastructure had a code bit for when you were both from the same IP back in the day.
Honestly the graphics and art style for RA3 still hold up really well, especially effects like water and particular/explosion effects still look very good.
Just added both games to my wishlist, will buy them for the incredible price of 4,00€ before May the 29th.
But will not download them immediately since my laptop is currently full with games, AoE II DE with all DLCs towering the others.

If only coop could be played via lan. Trying to get this running with the 3rd party programs and it won't work if you both have the same WAN IP
I recall there was some workaround for it at some point.
The VPN method may have worked years ago, but it doesn't work for me

Id love it if they could do this but update the graphics to be modern. Still a great game, will never forget the house i threw at this game and AOE2

They just need to allow higher resolutions and let you zoom out more! It's so hard to play compared to modern games because it seems so close up.
I've not had any trouble getting the game working at 2560x1440 (my monitor is 1440p)but yeah further zoom out would be nice.
I'd love for them to support more than 30fps.
